Looking for 2nd generation eclipse/talon turbo model (AWD or FWD is fine)
97--99 (the newer the better)
must be in good condition paint wise, engine wise.
PREFERRED
Leather
Sunroof
Power everything.
"Turbo" spoiler (the tall one, for the late person)
Required:
5 speed
no GS or RS
I am looking to pay NADA Retail for one of these cars, and not much over. (7500 tops for an extremely good condition 98 GST/GSX) with decent mileage (under 100k must, under 80k preferred)
Having trouble finding one because people are mislisting prices or listing several thousand (try 6) over retail, and its a headache.

Just to add. Rust and tons of paint scratches (including ones all the way to the primer) does not mean a car is in "excellent" condition or "clean."

did you do the compression test the right way. Did you wet the cyclinders and retest. You need to narrow the problem down might be a simple fix. I have a 2 g head if you need one

Well, its all bank trouble really. Id love to buy your car or another 1g and be done with a purchase. But the bank wont give me a personal loan, only a collateral based loan. And 1Gs are all considered too old now to loan on. So im kinda screwed on them.

Yeah man good luck finding one. Ya I listed mine a little higher than retail I just want to get "some" of the money I put into it back out. But its a little bit better to search for a car with cash in hand, much easier and no hassle, not to mention loans are gay and have interest.

Its also hard for a college student working part time to walk around with 7 grand in his pocket.

Its also hard for a college student to pay for a loan every month, maybe you should find a cheaper car or keep the one u got ;)

I can afford payments, thats not a problem.
But id rather have the car and pay it off over 2 years rather than waiting 2 years to get a new car.
