Ok another question for yall...when I do the 331 swap im putting a walbro 255lph in tank fuel pump in as well and some 30# injectors. Now I have a fuel pressure regulator that all hooked up to my motor right now and will swap that to the new motor...what pressure should I run and could I just put the regulator on the new motor without messing with it and it stay around the same pressure as I have now or will the new fuel pump jump the pressure up a lot and I need to turn it down before first crank so I dont explode my motor?

Set it at 40psi to get it running and then get it tuned on the dyno to set it correct. I run 30's on a 308 and figured 40 would be plenty with an in tank and a t-rex. I was wrong. Jeff at pro Speed ended up getting the safest power at 48psi for my set up.

I just dont want to hurt the motor..should I set it to 40 on the motor its on now and the regulator should already be set for that when it goes on the new motor or will I just need to start it up and adjust from there?

You'll be ok. Start it up, unplug the vac line, and set it to 38-40 psi. :fro:

Dont worry about hurting the motor with fuel pressure , it will be fine......Just follow what the guys said above and get it running , and dyno tune it from there
