I had scheduled to have the new car finished by Patterson Race Cars and my engine builder hit a snag and the project stalled while the motor plates are designed and the step headers are being built. Plan was to take the new car to Pinks All Out in May, but slim chance of getting it ready. I decided to try to get the Do Do Brown Buick Regal ready instead. Charlie Patterson said to bring it on down and they began work on it instead of the new car I had scheduled. Work needed to be done to be NHRA legal for tech at Atlanta Dragway were to install an 8 point cage, driveshaft loop, and a few other smaller issues that sprung up. Charlie and Andy worked very hard at getting all the work completed plus some things that came up as well. I had some major rust in the floor pan on the driver side and they cut it out and patched it up. I also had to have a badly installed anti roll bar cut out that was hitting the upper control arms. Charlie also fixed a problem with the crank pully hitting the electric fan. I'm now on my 3rd fan and have a ton of clearance. The driveshaft loop was a very difficult install due to an offset motor swap to get the Big Block Cadillac where it need to be in the engine bay. Everything was shifted to the passenger side for clearance and thus the driveshaft was slightly offset. Very inovative thinking and some cussing and it is in and all is well. The cage was done very well and Charlies welds are top notch. Can't say egnough about the quality of work these guys do.

Jim Howe had his car in the shop at Pattersons Race Cars as well getting some upgrades. Jim has always been a pleasure to talk to and when I mentioned that I had a Nitrous Express Twin Gemini system that i was thinking about using, he asked me to bring it down so he could check it out. I brought it down one evening and he offered to hook it up for me. I'm not a huge Nitrous fan, but I got a good deal on this system and thought I might want to try it someday. Between working on his own car, Jim started on the NX install on my car. Jim finished most of the work late thursday night and I only have to finish the fuel line from the fuel cell to have it opperational. I need to do a few small things to the car to try out the new NX system and see how the improvements effect the car NA and with the juice. I have to admit that I have some butterflies buzzing around my gut, but am excited about picking up some speed and lowering the ET.

These guys are top notch in my book and I can't say thanks egnough. I guess the thanks will be in the big ole shit eating grin I have for em after a few NA passes and the first nitrous pass.

Thanks again Jim,

I have the rest of the smaller changes made and will try to be at the track Sunday for some N/A runs and maybe a few NO2 passes. You may need to make me a map with NO2 filling stations in East and Middle TN for the addiction I;m about to have. Looking forward to seeing what the BB Cadillac will do this year.

Thanks guy's. Never got to make a full NO2 pass today, so I'm still a NO2 virgin. Had some throttle linkage and throttle switch issues, then a blown fuse. By the time we got that sorted out, transmission was leaking and we loaded it on the trailer. Time to sort out the bugs and leaks and try again next week if all goes well. Will keep your numbers handy.

Nice PROPS to Jim jr. and the chassis shop. Hell,Jim if the chassis shop doesnt have a refill station it seems one is in order. Afterall with the price of todays gasoline it just makes good sense to do one stop shopping plus as long as you have been around you most likely would get the best deal on N2O. does that include your proven performance at cumberland auto parts where you got fired for doing underhanded deals to fund your car? I can't believe you found another sucker Dustin to take you on only to take from them one more time.. how crazy is that GRE :fro:

one more thing, everyone iss crossville is talking about it including the poor boys so you better be watching your back cause your posy just hangs on while th tit is wet

CTypeBucik, don't deal with GRE (good riddens engineering)
