Phil just told me you fly RC airplanes. What do you fly? Do you build your own? I have an ElectriStar Select EP I just bought a few weeks back and have been flying it to get my skills back. A different topic for a change.

i have fooled around with the GAS pwered rc cars some. they are a blast.. would like to do the plane thing.... a bunch of peeps used to get together and fly those thing in the several acre yrd of JOHNS MANVILLE in ETOWAH. SOME OF THEM HADE wing spans of 6 or 8 feet....

My current plane that I crashed just the other day for the second time has a 63" wingspan. My next plane is going to have a larger wingspan and be a foamie. Balsa sucks to repair.

Typically, $100 gets you a plane with everything you need to fly and a 2 minute install time. These are for beginners but they are easy to fly and a lot of fun and very durable.

They had a RC airshow yesterday. If i had seen this thread sooner i would have pm'd you the details. Every couple months a club in town put's on a show at a local church. I went to the one in feb. and there was about 30-40 planes there. The jets were cool but the guys who fly 3-D are really good.
