Anybody been watching any baseball? Just thought we could take a friendly discussion around the big leagues, while I'm sitting here bored on Sat night studying for finals(or trying to).

D-backs will be NL Champs. Brandon Webb will have the Cy Young, and win 25ish games.

It's been fun watching someone besides JUST the Red Sox or Yanks fighting to stay on top of the AL East, even though I'm a Red Sox fan.

The Rockies are pitiful.

I was at the Padres vs Diamonbacks game last weekend in San Diego.

Hot, but a good time. Went out to gas lamp afterwards and had a better time.

I'm not much into baseball. It's more of a social event for me (beers, talking, watching). I can't watch it on TV though.

They lost me when they went on strike because they just weren't getting paid enough. :lame:

I wish the teams would have just booted them out and brought in the next round of players. They should let the market set their wages like it does everybody else.

I like your Cubs pick. They are rolling for sure! I just don't think they have the pitching to make it all the way. Kerry Wood sure does suck, I can't even watch him try to come in and save a close game. Their offense in def one of the best in the nation.

There's nothing I've seen that would rule out the Orioles and being a contender. I really like their closer. He's a beast. It's cool watching the O's and Ray's beating the biggest $$$ teams in baseball.

I dont know about the o's ,they are always balls to the wall for a couple months than just sink into the abyss.. If they can stay at the heels of boston and new york until the all star break i will believe they are in contention

im lovin every minute of it. I worry that we will fade until we find some hitting though, because our pitching staff is playing so far above their heads, its not even funny.

end up like the astros a few years back... sure they had stellar (sp?) pitching but their offense couldnt score a run to save a puppies life..


but still, i mean your team is young as hell, what most of the players are 24-26 so they will get the offense down.
