Just try to stay and home and keep your gay boyfreind with you also. Oh and i think its pretty fucking weird to have a bunny at your age and take photos with it. Dumb fucking bitch!!

They arent fast in a straight line....and i really dont think they are that competitive against many of the worlds other super cars that it is pitted against in competitions.

True, while the NSX doesn't possess the brute power of today's cars ( considering the car changed very little during the course of its run since 1990 ),
the NSX is a car that's still superb in every way.
Guys who track them will tell you that they will outrun cars with 100 more horsepower due to the ease with which they drive and the exit speeds they attain out of corners. These are the same guys who love to track their Z06, F360, etc.
The Ferrari 348 couldn't match it and it breathed down the neck of the 355.

It really is a great car. I looked at TT Supra's, some G35s, 911s. The NSX is the best all-around car.

Anyway, this thread really went off somewhere.

It would be a little embarrassing for the same Z06 to get beaten out by a FF competitor, though they were modified.

I guess your typical Italian sportscars look like old fishing boats too? Oh well...looks are subjective. What looks good to you?

How tall are you BugEyed? Tell me what makes you uncomfortable in the car because some people have expressed this as well.
I'm about 6'0" and didn't have a hard time getting in the car and fitting and being comfortable, but I could see if someone were taller than me how they would have a hard time as my feet were as far as they could go under the dash.

Billy's is very cool. We had a good time up through the Dragon.

And surprisingly, his was the only car in the field with the Type R rear spoiler as that's very popular and many NSX owners have them.

The NSX gets a bad rap, but I think I would shoot a car down too if I didn't know what makes them special.
There has to be a reason why guys get into P cars, F cars, Z06's and M3's and always manage to come back to the NSX.

I like the looks and even with the obvious Italian base, you can still tell it's a Honda through cues like the lights.

Not trying to sound like a dick but I don't think you have the driving experience to use one of these cars to outdrive a zo6 or a 355 on a track with professional car drivers. Stick to a honda hatch and put a B16 or B18 in it like all the cools kids do. Then you can sit there and have the right to tell me I should have bought a honda and that nissans are gay.

True, but I think you're assuming.

I'm a Nissan guy at heart. Look at my sig.

My point wasn't to boast my capabilities, but the car's capabilities. To note only the performance alone would be shorting the dynamic nature of the car's abilities and the reasons why I think it's my ideal car. Your analysis is a little shortsighted really. The statement was that the same guys who track both Z06's, F355s, and NSX's often prefer the latter, but not that I would have that opportunity...especially back to back. No one's telling you to buy a Honda or any other car...drive what you want and like it.

In March, a group of NSX owners from across the Southeast came to the Dragon for a friendly run ( picture in my sig ). I was looking at possibly getting one, so I decided to come along with James ( my bud with the white one ) after talking to Billy beforehand. I drove my lowly 280Z ( which got props by the way ). So here I am, 12 NSX's, 2 Lotus Elises, 1 Evo, 1 350Z, and me...in that order actually I believe...no...there was an NSX behind me...anyway.

I stuck to them the entire way and they were MOVING. Just after Deal's Gap ( to the left ) where it gets straighter, they left me in the dust because I made the conscious decision to slow up due to the conditions and speeds.
But it was a good learning experience. Definitely not one to warrant crazy times in an NSX on a track, but then again, very few people here probably have that experience either.

Don't mind the haters. The NSX isn't my cup of tea, but its still a nice ride.

I don't put a lot of stock in magazine numbers, Nurburgring lap times and the like. If you come out to an autocross, usually the cars that don't look very fast are the ones that are laying down the top times; and (usually) the guys that show up in flashy 'sports cars' can't or don't use the full potential of the car.

Point is, go buy what you like and go drive the ever loving crap out of it.

Huh, I dont put much stock into autox times considering every car is driven by a different level driver. :why: Maybe that is just my logical thinking. Magazine times pretty much tell you what you are getting in a car, each magazine has a couple different drivers they let drive and so from car to car you can expect about the same experienced drivers will be driving them. Maybe it is me but I put way more stock into magizine times then what some guys do on the autox course.

Look at Tony in his lowely ol rustang, making elises, s2000s, and miatas his bitch on a regular occasion. Doesnt mean I think his mustang is a superior handling car to those others.

The NSX is what it was supposed to be. A high priced supercar with good looks and average performance. Look at the times most supercars put out and you will soon realize that the only thing super about 95% of them is the price tag and maintenance bills. :)

I don't think there is much we are disagreeing about. Just because Car and Driver can get X time out of a car on the strip, skid pad, or roadcourse doesn't mean Joe Blow can do the same thing if he can't drive.

The only thing Tony proves is that he is a better driver than the guys in the fancy machinery.
