We are heading up to see the Disturbed concert at the Valarium tonight. I heard there is a bunch of road work and finding the Valarium is confusing as it is.
Anyone have good directions to get there including getting through all the construction?
I'm coming from Chattanooga, TN.
Thanks

Damn, man. I started to right out how to get to Valarium as it is right beside campus....
I got confused myself.
Stay on the interstate towards Univ. of Tenn/Downtown (it is the left side). Don't go towards Asheville/Lexington.
You are going to end up getting off the the 17th St. exit, and going straight through the red light at 17th street. You will be turning right soon there after, but I cant remember the name of the road. You will turn right before you run into Western Ave/Summit Hill Dr. It runs right into Valarium, but I cant remember the name of the road.
If I drive over there before tonight, I will get you some better directions because I can't exactly remember all the road names.

If you are coming from Chattanooga, you will not have a problem. The exit you need to take is before the closure.

i was there last night. disturbed was pretty good. i have heard them on the radio. but just wasnt a big fan. but after seeing them live. they was actually a good band. sound quality was great. the band 5 finger discount that played before them kinda sucked but all in all i had a great time. and i was sober.

I was there last night. Not really a huge fan of Disturbed, but they put on a good show. I didn't really like Five Finger Death Punch or Art of dying, and the Valarium sucked in general.

Disturbed is about the only newer heavy bad that I like. The singer can actually be melodic, which is rare in metal.
Did they happen to play Land of Confusion?

Oh crap I hate that Simple Man cover. That guy's voice is grating.

I remember OzzFest 99 I was so tired about halfway through that I napped during Deftones. I was very sad about that, but could not hold my eyes open.
We then got lucky and found a bottle of vodka behind some shrubs and everything was A-Ok.
That was a great show.....Got to see System of a Down before anyone really knew who they were then. And the original Black Sabbath. And primus, with buckethead. And Rob Zombie which was back when he was cool. And Slayer, but they suck.

Yup, I was up on the balcony and it was just as bad. The best part had to be the rent-a-cops confiscating the free water the bar was giving out as violating "open container laws."
