Well I have came to a stand-still with this car and cant get up the motivation or cash to finish it....so I am contemplating selling it if someone wanted to take over the project. Most all hard stuff is done, but still lacks finish work here and there and basic assembly. I have just about every piece for this car and most of the stuff came out of a running/driving '85 GT with the 4.6/5 speed conversion done to it that I decided to swap everything over into this coupe but changed things along the way. I have and can take many pics. It will be one heck of a car when finished but I have just looked at it too long and lost that momentum to keep going and I hate seeing it sit here with nothing gettin done to it.

Quick rundown on some parts and stuff:

'97 model complete 4.6L engine with only 66k miles but added a set of low-mile PI heads with slight port work done, PI cams, intake, valve covers and new gaskets more. Motor has 0 miles since all that was done. Should be good for around 300HP easy

Rebuilt T-45 5 speed shifts perfect, Ford Racing heavy duty clutch and freshly turned flywheel, new T-O bearing and input shaft needle bearing

4.6 K-member, quick ratio rack and pinion, fox a-arms with new moog sn95 balljoints and new struts. Using the complete hydro-boosted brake setup with all lines already plumbed on the car. Hotchkis C/C plates, 2" lowering springs all around...etc etc

Complete 8.8 rear with 5 lug disc brake complete from '97 as well. all brake lines and e-brake cables routed and mounted and ready to go

Steeda Ultralight 18x9" silver wheels

I have all the wiring for the car as well it just needs ot be installed.....I have custom made a few of the harnesses to tie in with the original '86 dash and other stuff like the front and rear lights, wipers, A/C and more

Inside has new black carpet, new model gauge cluster, newer model 5 speed style pedals, nice door panels, dash in good shape perfect radio opening, new rear shelf in black, all misc trim and stuff, seatbelts and more...

Lots and lots and lots more but I am getting tired of typing.....

Motor is installed.....I made all needed brackets to use newer radiator/electric fan/condensor/air conditioning lines/overflow tank and more and thats all installed. Front nose is off car for access to the rad support and stuff.

I have tons and tons of parts to and for this car I have been collecting. It just needs someone with motivation to finish it and then smile and make me sick lol...I will post a few pics. If any interest I cna get more pics and info.

TooManyMustangs

No, not going to part it, would only sell whole with everything or keep and finish one day...or someone could buy all of it, keep what they want and sell the rest.

Back up for sale or possible trades. All the hard work is done on this car already....will make one bad ride when complete. I have just lost interest and have too many other things going on.

TooManyMustangs
09-21-2008, 11:12 PM
Clear title ready to go...no it does not run yet but doesn't lack much just small stuff....I have everything here to complete it. Guarantee everything to be what I say and run when finished. I have only installed the tranny since I posted it up.

You should keep it and finish it Clint, that will be a sick car once done.

09-30-2008, 05:48 PM
Trust me and thanks, I know this all to well. I was building my ideal car with this coupe so it was goin to be exactly what I wanted in a Mustang.

Many factors are playing into me needing to get rid of this car....the shop space its taking up, the economy going crazy with nobody buying stuff like they used to so my income isnt the best and I need to liquidate some extra assets, loss of interest to finish it even tho the hard works is done, etc....

Thanks for thoughts Cisco.

chavist93
10-01-2008, 11:40 PM
sell the wheels?

TooManyMustangs
10-02-2008, 04:54 AM
The wheels in the pics are a set of 18" Y2k Cobra Rs I did have on it, it now has a set of 17x9 real Ford chrome Cobra Rs '95 style.

Basically you have to tell me how you would want it rolling then I would price it.....was thinking about taking it all back down and selling the body so that somebody could go whatever direction with it they want.....PM me for info or to discuss...

TooManyMustangs
10-03-2008, 11:48 PM
$1,800 for the roller.....I can set it back up for a 5.0....it has the 4.6 k-member and stuff in it now....just get with me and let me know...this a solide rust free originally from Missippi car with no rust....have alot of parts that will go with it just get with me if your interested.

Goodson
10-06-2008, 04:36 PM
If I had the cash I'd be all over this in a heartbeat.

These wheels of mine would make it look stock (without the 13" brakes of course)
http://www.streetcarforums.com/showthread.php?t=121984 and underneath this thing would be all SN95. A saleen roots blower or Kenne Bell would be SICK. All Fox on the outside and modular on the inside.

Cool car man. I just wish you would have hit the market with this when I sold my 85 GT 9 months ago. Once this is running it is a perfect daily driver that would really confuse some people.

TooManyMustangs
10-06-2008, 09:04 PM
Thanks Goodson, your making it hard for me to still want to sell it. I saw those 5 lug Ponys you have which are ultra-rare....wow that would be the ultimate sleeper setup.

For $3,800 you cant buy much in a fox Mustang and that is what I would let this car go for with everything. I feel that is one helluva deal but obviously not many others do...

Or $1,500 for the roller with the 17" Cobra Rs on it no....somebody jump on this deal..

onebluegt
10-06-2008, 09:07 PM
Man now you are making it hard for me to pass up the roller. especially when i have a motor here to build. just need money, just need money. gl my friend!

TooManyMustangs
10-06-2008, 09:11 PM
Thanks Joe, you need it man....anybody else you know may be interested spread the word...I cannot continue with it at this point in my life...

I have not a clue why I have barely any interest in this or anything else I have for sale for that matter....

Times are hard.... so where are all the people with money ready to snatch up all the good deals from broke people like me? LOL

TooManyMustangs
10-06-2008, 09:26 PM
Thats not good man....

Not sure without the wheels...depends if you wanted it still setup for a 4.6 or 5.0...

I have a recovered in black/grey pair of '86 GT seats to go in it, bunch of black interior stuff, perfect nose for it and much more.

joecoupe
10-06-2008, 09:38 PM
with nothing about the way it was when u got it.

TooManyMustangs
10-06-2008, 09:40 PM
O man I dont know if I wanna go back that far with it lol....

Goodson
10-06-2008, 10:58 PM
I totally agree. It would be the ultimate sleeper.

I'm telling you if I could buy it right now I would. That sleeper look with the blue and the pony's would be killer. I've been eyeing this thread since you posted it. I've been looking for a blue 86 for a while.

Do you have everything to complete the project? Do you have all the stock interior parts and stock hood?

TooManyMustangs
10-06-2008, 11:05 PM
Yes and yes.....the interior parts I have are either black or factory blue.

Everything was in another car ( '85 GT ) running and driving before I decided to put eveything into this coupe and changed a few things here and there like doing the PI swap and other misc stuff.
