Who wants to be first victim of the turbo terror?
Well I finally got my intake piping back from ITS. Started putting it all back together last night. All that needs to be done is connect the piping to the throttle body/ put the front bumper cover back on and put the inner fenders in. I am going to need to drive it around a little so the computer can adjust to the mass air meter and then I am going to take it to Brads and have some W/B pulls to make sure it is rich enough and then I will be ready;)

Oh I would love too, BUT (there is always a but) my wife and I and some freinds are going to the Cirque Du Soleil tommorrow night. Besides I don't think I will have it all back together by then. It's hard when you have a 5 month old to get out to the garage for any one period of time.
But your on with the part about you and your 17"ers. I will roast your hide :D (at least for the 1/8 mile anyways ;) )
Wna-lose get you car running tuned and well do it (race I mean :hump: )
NO one else COME ON. I need some practice before I go to Reynolds in a few weeks. I will :whip2: that butt for ya.

i was there but don't remember what it ran in the 1/8 but knew it was somewhere around there...i'll do my best to go 7.88 or faster (with a ridiculous trap speed)
Turbo Matt
03-20-2003, 03:01 PM
I went 96 mph at that shitty track up North. I think I was around 93 mph in Commerce!!
mustang23LX
03-20-2003, 03:07 PM
i remember the 93 at commerce, isn't that other track kind of fast on mph for some reason...can't remember why, just remember folks saying it was 5+mph off...don't remember if it was short or why it was they did that
Turbo Matt
03-20-2003, 03:20 PM
The lights were placed farther down the track so the MPH is high!

I want you to give me the details after you run? Did you put your gears in?
mustang23LX
03-20-2003, 03:22 PM
yeah, i put the gears in on tuesday night...other than driving through the neighborhood i don't know how they compare b/c it's been to damp/dangerous to go out and actually open it up wot.

355 or 327? I would like to put 327 gears in mine!

i went 3.27 which will work perfect for trap speed, rpm, and tire size.
if i were you, i wouldn't go 3.27 until you picked up quite a bit more mph b/c they will probably drop you way out of the power band. you could always keep your 3.73 and try a 28" tire or go to a 3.55 but with your trap speed you'd be at a pretty low rpm in 4th across the traps and probably would end up slowing you down.
you know a good solution, put the 3.27's in and then you have a reason to buy a built motor with a nice set of heads and all b/c you need the trap speed then for your gears you have :D. nice philosophy, eh?
conrad, i'm not sure what time i'm heading down there, last time i got stuck in horrible traffic. i may just leave real early to avoid rush hour(s) and just mess around until they open otherwise i'll be getting there pretty late so i'll have to sit down and think about it.
DSM_LX
03-20-2003, 03:36 PM
I say leave early and get there at the track around 5:15 or so. If you leave too late you will be sitting in tech all day. I'll probably be up there early.
Turbo Matt
03-20-2003, 03:44 PM
Definitly get up there early. Dad and I got up there around 6:00 and traffic was out on the road. Then it took us 2 hours in the tech line. We only got about 4 runs. That was about 2 weeks ago.
You think 327 would be too high for my stock heads?

hahaha, i HATE that feeling. It's like, you know you did everything right but you are just still nervous that something might not work right, went through that when i swapped the motors b/w my 93GT and my 92LX and disassembled and rebuilt both of them...i was super nervous both times that something wasn't going to work right...anyways, good luck

Hey F-22, Bring it on. I have a big checkbook with lots of checks in it. If you like I can come to Dallas and run you there. I have run there a few times. My brother in law runs there all the time. A green ford ranger. You might want to see if you can out run him first. What kind of car do you have? I would prefer to run at Twigs county or Jackson or even on the street. I would prefer we go somewhere where we can run NO Times. I know of several places near Dallas we can go to and run on the street. let me know. I would be happy to come there and let you take my money. let me know.

Hey F22, do you need me to help you push that junky thing up on the trailer. last time I checked 13's were faster than 16's. Maybe you should concentrate on beating some Honda's first. Or maybe you would like to run my wife's stationwagon.
PS. Falcons, and Jets both suck!
IVE GOT 150 WORTH OF WHOOPASS GOING ON IT TONIGHT. I'D LIKE TO RUN YOU ALL OUT TO ALL OUT! RAN 13.91 ON A 125 SHOT WITH THE TIRES SPINNING, AND A BAD EXHAUST LEAK. FUTURE MODS INCLUDE A SET OF TUBOTECHS, AND CHROME AIR FILTER. STILL WANT SOME?

I was just givin ya hell cause Brad is backed up but people do swear by the sticker, I mean why else would they put that big ugly ass thing on their car. I was talkin to one of their tech's and he also said my car didn't have enough downforce and that he recommended a triple decker spoiler that is as wide as the decklid and stands about 4 ft. tall. But I told him that this week my budget was only going to allow the carbon fiber hood and the X-tra large Nopi sticker. I am gonna take it to the track Sunday and test it out.
WHAT WOULD BE THE MOST OR LARGEST STICKER YOU CAN RUN ON A MOSTLY STOCK MOTOR? ARE DUELS BETTER THAN ONE?CAN YOU RUN A NOPI STICKER ON A DOMESTIC?

I've heard of people running 2 NOPI stickers on thier domestics..One for the front and one for the back!! Now if you use this tecnoligy you need to place the NOPI sticker 3in's from the top of the back window to achive the correct down force!!! If it's not applied in the correct position you may be flung into a out of control tail spin!!!! So be very carefull of it's location!!!

Im glad you thought of that sticker performance mod. I dont have a NOPI sticker yet. I usually try to hide my stickers in the trunk so people dont see all the hidden horse power. I thought I had some of the most powerful stickers already, but I guess not. Anyone have any dyno #'s on any of those stickers with the Japanese lettering? and can they be applied to a Domestic car? Nothing says fast like a big japanese sticker across your front winsheild.

the last numbers i have seen, the HUGE ass ones u put that go from the front fender over the hood add about 15 to the front tires ( does no good for the rear) on last count the the full body sticker ( front ot back) add 30

yeh but that does not add as much hp, simply because you can read it , the harder it is to understand what the hell it says or is the more it adds
