in my 87 firebird i got in to the dash, spliced a wire, put in a switch and then i had variable speed controll. ( on or off)

i have a 05 mustang V6 premium. limited at 113MPH, 5th gear only at 3 grand, is there a cheap way to defeat this? i dont have hundreds of dollars to spend on a programer

As it is for now .. that is the best way without having a schematic sitting in front of you tracing the wiring ...in addition to that...who knows what consequences there are to just disabling without the PCM knowing what is up? You might look over on the Modular Powerhouse forums under tech to see if Tim has come up with a viable alternative...although I doubt that will be the case as he makes his living tuning these cars...but it is an open forum and there may be members that have tried it..
