Well how much? Just a basic freshen up with a shift kit would be nice for the street. It was running fine when parked 5-6 years ago.

It's a Monza/Starfire/Skyhawk/Sunbird BOP TH350 and a 7 1/2" 4-lug 10-bolt. I pulled the same rear out the monza I had a few years ago.

Yeah and it worried the heck out of me until we got her on the lift. It has a ton of rust but none in the floor pans, trunk pan, etc. I don't mind the surface/light rust on the hard steel components but if the floor pans were trashed this sucka would be in pieces or at the scrapyard by now.
I will be sand blasting and painting a good bit on this one along with a ton of other work. This junker has been siting for 6 years.

That makes a lot of sense with he 4 lug, etc. I had an old Monza Spyder... I am assuming that would be the same running gear?
This is what mine looked like when I sold it and it even had the same wheels on it that I am dealing with now. I can't believe I didn't remember that. Well now I can get some wheels for it knowing what they fit.

When I was in High School they were cheap, and with the small block I kept swapping into them they were pretty quick. I had a Monza, Buick Skyhawk (w/Astroroof), Olds Starfire & a few Vegas. If you get a chance PM me a couple of pics of the project itself, with the 4-link is it in a Vega/Astre body?
PS-The Astroroof doesn't like to the clutch side stepped. And even back in the 80s it cost more to replace the glass roof then I paid for the car.

I got a teaser for ya, I had a 79 Sunbird. You know the Monza wannabees?
I know you remember those things.... Man I hated that car but it never let me down and with the 4 cylinder I drove all weekend for $5.00.
