Sweetwater 1/4 mile???

Has anyone else heard of this as a rumour or truth? I have heard different from different people. Can anyone verify?

Wonder how much it would cost to build a 1/4 and how much the tree, clock, and sensors cost.

there is a 1/4 mile track coming to sweetwater, and exit 407(the exit where mountain adventures is). unless my informants are mistaken the sweetwater track should be done this year, and the 407 by next.

Consider the paving and excavating cost would be nearly 100k. Plus then take into account insurance lights the tree and the walls. The grandstand, pits, sand trap and net. the parking lot. Easlily a couple hundred thousand plus the utilities and all the insurance every year.

Yeah it would be nice to get a 1/4 mile close I know the word around nashvegas is they are gonna build one here. Gary baker is wanting to build one and i work at his house some and he is the owner there

ok, so back to the beginning, some say there is going to be and some say no. I guess we will have to just wait and see.

note: i didnt realize that it cost that much for a 1/4.
lol, maybe we could just all chip in and have a paved 1/4 mile stretch and someone with a stop watch stand out there for us. lol

I saw the track yesterday! It's beautiful!!!! They were giving free trips down the strips to the cars there, trying to get some rubber down on the track for this upcoming season!!!!

I just got back from my Lunch break from running the Sweetwater 1/4 mile for about 30 minutes. WHOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO! I'm runnin' the 1/4!!!!!

The owners are wondering where all you guys are............they heard everyone wanted a 1/4 track locally. :why:

the guy who owns german moto works is owns some land by there that hes going to be turning into a camp ground, they will have a circle dirt track to be paved eventually and a quarter mile track with quarter mile of stopping distance so they can run the NHRA top fuel dragsters, not sure when its supposed to be done but its definitly coming whities
