Guys I need a bit of help. I'm converting from C4 to a glide. My car is a 1986 Mustang Gt. When I had the C4 I had the stock safety switch that came in 82-86 and it is just a plug in. My car was 5 speed car originally. I just installed a Hurst Pistol Grip quarter stick which has the safety switch integrated in it. I read the instructions on how to wire it but don't like this method. Is there a way to wire it to the original wiring, by the trans tunnel, the wires that I hooked the C4 one, or to the clutch pedal, I have it zip tied behind the rug of the car. Any help I appreciated, thanks:

The wires you need are in the harness that comes out of the tunnel to the factory neutral saftey switch, they wire in series to the hurst micro switch. I have wired a couple of them but I don't remember the colors.

Your harness going to your transmission, there should be two red/light blue wires. Run those to your neutral safety switch on your shifter.

On mine, one red/buel and one white/pink, I take it that the white/pink goes to the top terminal of my trann shifter switch and the red/blue to the bottom of the switch which is the starter solenoid. The purple/orange is the BU lights I guess hot, and the blk/pink to the bu lights. I guess I can put a togle switch in between, for the BU lights. Am I correct or out in left field, thanks:
