I went for the first time on Saturday...wow, I felt like someone threw me into the middle of The Fast and The Furious? Barrett tends to suck, Moreland sucks, the tracks are sometimes okay...where do some of the faster cars hang out on the streets?

i drove to silver dollar at reynolds on friday evening....plenty of fast cars there...200+mph ones...lol. i must say, it's funny driving 165 miles down in my car which sounds stock, enjoying a/c, power steering, nice stereo and showing up on 17" wheels, street tires, and pump gas....beating the cars that are trailered in and turning around and driving back 165 miles that night while passing the cars i beat on a trailer headed home. I go cruising right on by at 90mph and getting 26mpg....haha...trailer queens suck!
anyways, i don't know where the fast street cars are hanging out these days but commerce and silver dollar always has some fast ones on test and tune night.

we went down there sat. but you have to look at this way, while all the instant rice is going three wide from the red light their is real racing going on , something with tires ran at the hole before we got there( fresh water and marks) you just have to find the right people . we didn't get there until almost 3:30 by then all the rice is gone.......

Were you there Sunday also? I was there Sunday, yep, kinda funny watching some of those times knowing that I could probably beat some of those folks. (Not a majority of them though!) It was great. It was my first NMRA outing.

Damn Barry you drove 165 miles one way to silver dollar? Did you get lost or something? :bash:

Moreland seems kind of shady now i think. Cops seem to run all the rice off my midnight it seems. Maybe some hardcore guys go after that i dunno.

Someone was running at the hole? I always thought that stretch of road was pretty crazy for people to race on but i've seen some awesome races there. I think its all fenced it now from last time i drove through there.

Realstreet is correct, we all went there after I outran the Monte Carlo. We went there to race a Malibu but his fuel pump went out on a test pass right before we got there (well atleast that what he said) We dont like to go much anymore cause of all the damn ricers!

NO i didn't get lost, it's 5 miles to the interstate THEN 140 miles of strictly interstate for me and THEN several miles on highway 341 and THEN several more miles on highway 96 to the track. So yes, that is correct conrad.:dumbass: ;)

Damn thats the long way! Takes me only 94 miles from my house! ;)

If you go through Macon and Bryon it adds about 25 miles to the trip versus taking the back roads through Roberta.

If the place you guys are talking about is the same place I went to on Moreland You would have to be crazy to run there. The first time I went there I saw a car pull out of a sidestreet and the 2 cars that were racing wrecked at about 100 mph. Not Cool. How about finding some places without the sidesteets. Plus Im all out of "Get out of Jail free" passes. Looks like nice weather for Fun Ford Weekend. Hope you guys have a good time.

It was a couple of years ago. There was supposed to be a race with a bright Green mustang( Ken Ingram's old car) and some junky looking old black Malibu or Monte Carlo. In a not so great neighborhood off of Moreland Ave. We went to Fulton Industrial first and there was nobody there so we went to Moreland. They were talking up the race when we got there. A few other cars started to run while they waited on the others to argue about the money ect.... A lexus raced a lowered Gt and when they got to the end A car pulled out of a side street from the right. One of the cars went up on the curb and went around and the other T-boned the car that pulled out and we all took off. The mustang was that bright green car Ken Ingram had. They showed up with the car on a rollback. and the other guys had their car on an open trailer. I dont know if they ever raced or not, we got out of Dodge. There were some shady caracters there, I wouldnt go back without a gun.
