I heard, through the grapevine from a very reliable source, that Commerce's new management for '05 is going to charge a $25 pit vehicle fee. This includes any scooter, fourwheeler, golfcart, etc. That is absolutely retarded. Every Jr. Dragster there uses some type of pit vehicle to tow them back and im not about walk back and forth all day. I dont know how long it'l last or if it will even make it to opening day. Im sure a lot of people have already called and "discussed" the issue. But as far as im concerned, ill take my $25 and my fourwheeler and go somewhere else. :rant3:....not to mention, the track SUCKS

The way they do the Jr. Dragster's I can't see how they could do that. We only go there 2-3 X a year anyway but we can always head to Twigg's those 2-3 X from now on.

Me, you, and everybody else will be going somewhere else if they actually try to impose that...and its just that, thats going to make em change their minds.

That's retarded.

So is that only for golf carts and 4 wheelers? Or does that include if your pit crew comes in a separate vehicle? Hell, the way we travel to Commerce we'll have to spend an extra $100 just to get the pit crew in. :rofl2:

I would assume other vehicles would be the regular "crew" rate of $10 or whatever it is. Anyway....its retarded.

If that is the case, then just have one of your crew members drive your golf cart through the gate. $10.00 is alot cheaper than $25.00.

I have heard that there is not enough room at the track in S GA for the nationals. All I know is the southern national are going to be held this year at commerce May 12-15 and I can not wait.

Also who is going to want to go all the way down south to race? Commerce is like 1 1/2 away verses 4

Yeah, but have you seen the pics of that new track? Its nice. I can't wait to go down there and check it out.

I've heard the thing about Commerce going IHRA, as well. And the new S. GA track taking all the NHRA stuff.

I am sure the track is nice, but do they have enough room for all the trailers to park. Hell Mongomary gets packs for just a small race!

Commerce sucks, i aggree...But it's my home track, it doesnt bother me personally, because any event we run in, we wont need anything to pull our vehicle, but i do aggree its BS for those charges!!!

OK this is what I found out. Yes they are going to charge a ONE time $25 charge and you will put a sticker on what ever it is that you have in there.

Oh and by the way all the tracks are going to this!

What I want to know is, will this track becoming IHRA, will they be less of a bunch of saftey-nazis? I've seen them NOT let people run b/c their seatbelt expiration dates were the day before. I mean crap! I guy drives 2 hours to get there and they won't let him run on something small like that...

safety is safety, but let's balance that with reason...

Thoughts?

Well I know that S GA is not going to become an NHRA track they did not plan well when they built it. There is not enought parking for the rigs. They have one hell of a track from what I understand
