Cost of upgrading 2000 Accord?

Hey all, new member here.

I'm about to purchase a 2000 Honda Accord. I'd like to upgrade it, not to race, but just for some extra speed and power. I'd also like a simple bodykit and some rims.

I'm not a gear head by any stretch of the imagination; I open a hood and I say, "Well, looks like there's an engine there".

I know it's a horribly vague question, but how much will I be looking to spend on a basic set of upgrades for more power and aesthetics?
