Had a great time yesterday. Good meeting some new faces. Now i just have to find someway to stay ahead of Beth in her car she is only a few 10ths back with her 6.8 1/8th and 10.77 1/4 run yesterday. Geezer if she ever runs a faster time than me you know I will never hear the end of it.

You are 100% correct if she ever outruns me I am in trouble. Maybe I will sell a few cows and put that money back into the car. May put a blower on and a little nitrous. I still cant beleive she went 6.8 and 10.77 in a full weight, stock supension, car with air and on drag radials.

but I heard all of the chrome, paint and powder coating looked good going down the track......

I think we should have a race for all the girls (women) since they did not get to have the powder puff race since the mustang - corvette shootout was cancelled. Pick a week end and have all the heads up and bracket race.

The only thing funny is how evry time you get behind the wheel of one of Geezers cars everything goes to shit. Besides, my car never ran "on motor". It had a blower on it. It went 6.60's on 17" radials lifting once, the coupe went 7.oh's on slicks. I know it isnt apples to apples but NO, a 7.oh is not faster than 6.6x. :dumbass:


Oh, the mini is not new but it drives great. No shame in my game. Its paid for.

well, thats what happens when you "race" a car that isnt a "race car". Him and I both knew better than to race the vette, but he wanted "the number".


and unlike people in his past, I worked on his cars for free, no matter what he wanted done. it wasnt much, but I didnt leave him out in the cold either
so, you went .4 faster with a blower..........

You guys are so much fun, yep, even you Plowboy.
For the record: The Z06 was a 418 stroker and a pretty fast street car, and if Hamby would have left hard with it, we would have seen a high 6, which is a decent number for a NA car on drag radials with AC, etc. However, despite my urging him to do so, he would only leave easily, about 1.68 60 ft. The problem with it was they are so damn expensive to fix, and the rear ends are especially soft. I should probably have kept it. It is now in Germany spanking Porsches.
The green Coupe was a 408, but had a lot of problems, not the least of which was the 5-spd that just would not shift at high RPMs. Pete built me a C-4 which Hamby and The Hal helped with and we finally got in there. No sooner than we did, we blew the head gaskets because the compression was a lot higher than the previous owner claimed. I think he was trying to convince me it could run on 93. NA it was a high 6 second car and I had a plate kit to put on it that would have hopefully made it a low 6 second car. But I sold it because I was tired of spending money and watching the Bone drive the car. And to Hamby's defense, not only did he provide free labor and advice, which I continually tried to pay him for, but he also felt bad when something would break, despite my telling him it was to be expected. However we stayed in it because we both wanted to drag Pdubbs done the track.
Now the GT is an ongoing project. We have had two runs and have found some problems, but it isnt a race car, just a mild street car. That said, we still have our sights on a few targets, Hambone in the wife's car, Threesome's turbo car, Primed Pony's fancy escort, and a couple of others. Is that cleared up now?

He didnt take it to the track. They took Miller's Cobra. Giggs is going to repair the intercooler and bring it out soon, so he says. I would love to have that truck. He is thinking about selling it.
