hey a408swinger, forgot my password for 1fastdirtneck and i had cookies turned off so i just created a new one, I'm originally from Philly but I live in Clemson now, I recently graduated from Clemson, I've rode around before w/ friends from school to seneca and never saw anything up there but a bunch of stock mustangs and camaro's, my buddy had a supra and nobody wanted to race him

You just have to look in the right places. A lot of the faster cars dont come out unless we all get together somewhere. There are a lot of fast cars around you just have to know where to look and who to talk to. I would be glad to run him. I live in Walhalla, but I dont drive my car everyday. I take it out on occasion. Some of us are going to Atlanta Fri. to run at "Dallas" Dragstrip. I hope his Supra is really fast or he's gonna get smoked!! I havent seen too many Supras run Quicker than 11's

I guess a408swinger you haven't seen too many supras lately. Maybe you should sign up for Import Tuner and read about some really fast street cars. I don't know what it will run, but I know it'll smoke a damn dart, I mean come on, it's a dodge, it can't be that fast. The only Dodge I've ever seen haul ass was a barracuda on a trailer behind a F-350 going 90mph down the interstate. Hey strokedcoupe, what you got? Is it worth us pulling out the supra for ya, we might even hook up the second stage to come to seneca, doubt we'd need it though

Well lets see, I was at commerce Fri. night and saw 2 Supras come out of a rig that looked like a tractor trailor. A white one and a black one. One ran low 12's and the other ran low 11's. Both looked like show cars with huge turbos on them. If I had to guess I would say that they had more money in those cars than you do. If you want to find out how fast my car is Bring it to Dallas(GA) Fri. night and bring your wallet!! Ill suck the turbo off your car as I go by!

Ill tell you what, Just for shits and giggles go ahead and hook up the second stage. You might even want to consider a 3rd stage. You probably wont need it like you said but better safe than sorry. Let me know where you want to meet to run my slow ass Dart.:D

Most of those guys you see are show cars, we have a race car. a t-60 from precision turbo and a nos NOSzle fogger kit should be enough to take car of a dart. I'm tryin to talk my buddy outta the 2nd stage, don't think the drag radials will hold it, guess we'll see soon.

Well lets find out! All I have is a smallblock with a little nitrous. You feelin Froggy. Bring it! Let me know where you want to meet. I have a few places we can run. And yes, my car is street legal, tag, insurance etc... you should have no problems with that race car

We gonna hit the road in it when the rain lets up, make sure everything is running good, we just put the new turbo on 2 weeks ago and have been taking it easy on it. Need to get to a dyno but I think my buddy can tune good enough to not worry about that for a street race.

Best case I would think is that you don't know what you're talking about, I guess the "new muscle car" age hasn't sunk in here in the south. You don't need these big ass heavy v8 pos's to go fast anymore. In case you have a hard time w/ reading comprehension I said one turbo, not 2 and it has 1 stage of nos w/ a possible 2nd to be added later. Trust me, I can't wait for my buddy to get this thing out so we can go show people what "ricers" are really about. If it would just quit raining so we can go tune on it. As far as allowance, I'm not like most of the rednecks around here who live off unemployment, I have a job and I make more than enough to back my boy in a race on the street, he builds it, I back it.

Once again you need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills as I never said it was my car, clearly stated it was my buddy's from the start, but enough on that. I guess you southern boys do things a bit different than the way we did in Philly, if you don't got cash, then you keep your mouth shut and let those who do talk. Swinger, I hope you're considering the possibility I have done my homework and know exactly what I'm doing. I could be wrong, I guess we'll see. Oh and I've graduated, I've been out for 3 years. I think the one stage is enough w/ the turbo he's got, the turbo alone will support 800+ hp, but we don't race dyno's. I'll get back w/ you guys shortly.

The black supra that was running 11's makes just over 630 to the tires. That's not exactly a show car. The guy takes it to track every week so I would assume he can drive somewhat. I won't argue the fact that supras have awesome motors and are capable of rediculous amounts of power but they are not good drag cars. The ones you read about going really fast in those magazines usaully have ford 9" rears and powerglides not a factory 6 speed and IRS. You and your buddy may want to take that car to track before you go betting all this money. Oh yeah, go ahead and hook up the 2nd stage because you're gonna need it when that Dart puts about 10 cars on your ass off the line. If you get your ass handed to you by the V-8's, I have a 4 cylinder that you can try.

WTF are you talking about. I never claimed to own the Supra. Maybe you should read more carefully before you go flaming someone. You obviously haven't seen very many of them run or you would know that a car with 630 hp can run 11's. It's called having a big laggy single turbo that has a narrow power band. Everytime they shift, those cars fall on their asses. Also, they 60 foot like shit. The car runs 127 mph (3500+ lbs) so it's not a lack of power.
Supras are fast as hell from about a 60mph roll, but they suck from a dead stop.

FALLYRACE you just comfirmed what I was saying in the other post, that you dont know what the fuck you are doing. No matter what the setup, its the tuner/engine builder that sets the motor up to make power where its needed. I know all about single turbo setups and just because you have a single turbo does not mean it will have lag at the drag strip. Sound likes you have the wrong combination. You need to be racing NASCAR if you start rolling of at 60 mph.
