So, I got up early with all intentions of painting my headlight housings black (JDM). Unfortunately I chickened out b/c everyone says it is a pain in the ass. My plans were take them out, bake them at 200 for 20 minutes, take them apart primer/paint them and put them back in the oven (to soften the silicone again) add some extra silicone just in case, and put them back together and on the car. You also have to take the front bumper off. Anyone have any experience in doing this?

Also, I debadged my Acura on the driver's side rear. I used rubbing alcohol to get the sticky tape off and it is all gone and is smooth, but in cerain light it looks like the sticky stuff is still there. It is not a perfect ACURA either. I have not waxed it yet though, maybe it will go away then.

If you can still see ACURA where it used to be, then there is still adhesive present. You will most likely need to use something like gasoline or Spray Nine to remove the remaining residue. Neither product is good for your paint. So, when you're done, clean that area real well with water then coat it with some wax, as both mentioned products will remove any pre-existing wax.

That's what I thought, but it feels as smooth as any part of the car. You can see it, but not feel it. I am going to wax it in a couple of weeks, hopefully that will get it.
Do you think I could use cleaner wax on just that spot and it would turn out OK? I would go back over it with whatever I wax the entire car with.

I think that would be fine. I would rewax that area as soon as you're done.
