What are the fastest street cars from 'The Southside' area? Start a list and modify it as it grows.

bah, it'll probably do the same thing as in the other section - everyone just lists their fastest car even if it's a race car. i know a lot of people that never drive their car on the street, but they call it a "street car"... :D

The little Opel GT is posted on the fastest 1/8th mile thread with a 5.52 but that was just to supply enough info to get on top of the list. It has been considerably faster than that and did it on all motor.

Is it a TRUE street car? My guess would be no if it ran all motor to a 5.52.

In that post, Mustang23lx was stating that most people do list their race cars in threads where they don't belong.
All this should have been in red in your post: everyone just lists their fastest car even if its a race car. Meaning, people list their race cars to get a higher ranking in the list, but the cars those individuals list are not TRUE street cars...they are race cars....which means they don't belong on the list.

Well we aren't on the Cobb side so I guess we fall here also.
Mrs. Bugman: 85 Gt T-top 10.51 @ 128 with a 1.45 short time. Stock 302 with cam and heads and yes it is a street car with stock suspension that hauls our kid's to school, drive it out to eat, etc... It is not an every day driver because I can't drive them all every day.
Miss Bugman 7.12 on a 75 shot with a 1.66 short time spinning through the 60ft. She also ran 12.51's in the 1/4 on motor. Stock 302 with small cam and heads. This is also a street car but we don't let her drive it to school anymore.
Bugman.... Ah you thought I was really gonna post that one? :bash:

No sir... I have 2 that I would never call a street car and the only thing that changes that is that they have no heat and are not practical or comfortable to drive on the street.
The "street cars" I would drive anywhere and are as comfortable as anyone would expect for a daily driver.
