ive used them/ there great carbs but you have to run a vac. plate for your brake booster

i assume the vacuum plate is used for an adapter to have a vacuum source for the booster, another good way around this is an electric vacuum pump that gm used for a while to supply constant vacuum to the booster while using a large camshaft. craft would be able to point you where to get a supply of this pump. we used to use them at billy's on the hotrods.

I had a 650 speed demon and it was practically new, but I didn't like it. It was nice in some ways (clear site plugs to check float level, non-tear/multiuse gaskets on float bowls, etc) but I could never get it to run right. I took it completely apart, cleaned it, put it back together, and it still ran like shit. Put a holley on and never looked back.....

I have never had any trouble with them but i also know how to adjust a carb too, that has a lot to do with it. For the money though I would buy a Holley.

We have all carb'd setups except my car and Barry Grant has been the best that we have used so far. I don't use a vacum pump or plate and I have had 302's with B cam's going mid 10's on a 150 shot with the 650 race Demon with no problem. But then again I also know how to tune a carb. That's all I have ever known until about 2 years ago.

We setup the Demon™ carburetors more specifically than other manufactures. This gives us a tighter window of where one of our carburetors is going to work properly, based upon size and calibration. This also means when using the proper carburetor for the application we can normally outperform other brands. From a performance standpoint we'll part our carburetors up against any manufactures. We our specifically engineered carburetors for everything from stock engines to full out race applications. We do recommend you contact our technical support staff directly to make sure you get the proper carburetor for your application. You can contact our team at (706) 864-8544, or www.barrygrant.com

Being a manufacture all sales go through our distributors. I'm sure one of them would be willing to work with you if you wanted to do some sort of group buy.

Oh horse shit! I defended BG, showed an awesome example of awesome power for a budget budget budget did I say budget combo and didn't even get brownie points. If you get a good deal I better get some free shit! :D

I just ordered another BG 650 from Summit last night and it is going for low 6's / high 9's.

If you'll give us a complete list of the engine, driveline, and vehicle specifications we should be able to point you in the right direction.

I have 2 Holley's and they do just fine but a good friend turned me onto the Demon's and showed me the differences so I am kinda stuck on them for now. I am not replacing the Holley's but all the new stuff is getting the BG's for now.

Yeah, it is strange how down south you learn all about the civil war and every aspect of it, but up north it's all about the revolutionary war and how there so great! My favorite era was the civil war!:D
