He just bought something new to drive for him last night. 95' Ford 150, 4x4, 302 ofcourse, bumper and foglights... one owner extremely clean truck. Going to pick it up this morning.

How much are headers / exhaust / simple mods for these trucks?

After watching F-body cars dyno and LOOSE hp with flowmasters.. I will never let them be put on another vehicle in my presense. Might go with some dynomax bullets like were on my car.

Thats what I am looking at doing. Thers a 97 Chevy z71 up the street, with full exhaust, small lift kit and tires for sale for 7k. Wished I could afford that right now... paying more than double that for the motor on my car really hurt. ;)

Its got 192k, but purrs like a kitten. Only problem is its idling at about 500, and because of the low idle it'll cut off every now and then. Any idea how to quick fix that problem?

i'm not sure which particular valve would be on that vehicle, but everyone seems to be leading you in the right direction. it is held on with 2 8mm bolts at the throttle body. it may be worth a shot to remove it, clean the inside of the mechanical part of the valve (i am referring to the inside which will probably be full of carbon) then reinstall it. i have cleaned several and it usually works ok until it needs to be cleaned again. refer to one of these kind ford technicians if you need to purchase one. i think on some years you can remove the electrical solenoid portion from the mechanical side with 2 phillips screws. if this is possible then seperate them. this will give you a better opportunity to clean the carbon from the valve.

Shit happens. Being secured behind a blue oval nor a bowtie creates invincibility.

Pull the inlet tube off and cleanout the throttle body blades.....they are probably stopped up is why it has the low-idle/stalling. Choke cleaner and a rag.;)
