I fail to find any humor in your thread title.

And you're high if you think your 76 is worth 10.5.

i just consider the source on that last reply.by the way someone must not think it was too high as i took a deposit on it today.considering the fact i buy and sell about 150 collector cars a year i think i probably know a thing or two about what they are worth and what they will bring.like i said though,i just consider the source.

The blue book on an 86 vette is a little over 8,000 in perfect condition. Mine was not in mint, infact it needed a lot of work. They only made 50 commemorative edition corvettes. I bought my car for 10,900. It is worth it. I spoke to a man that owned one 2 days ago, he was selling it. his has 49k on it, and is in excellent condition. He is selling his for 15k. IMO that is what it should go for b/c it is worth it. One of these cars was the first Calloway corvette. The only other 86 Commemorative corvette that i know of is in the Corvette museam in bowling green. Blue book means nothing on corvettes, and collector cars. They go by Market value instead of book value.

i agree, you can throw away the blue book or any other value guide when it comes to collector style cars.value depends solely on what someone is willing to pay for a car.i have sold rough 69 camaro bodies in the past for 4-5 g[book shows 1g]so much for the book. my last 69 camaro pace car i sold shows book to be around 16-18g however they are actually bringing high 20's to low 30's.market demand, rarity, uniqueness and overall condition determine what a collector car will really bring.

here is an example... Look on auto trader for an 89 turbo trans am.. it will make yor jaw drom on how much those are going for. The cheapest one i have seen on there was 11000, the most expensive i saw was 25,000. Remember that his is an 82-92 F-body.. They were not known for their quality..

still have the corvette for sale.it has the hard top on it in the pic but i took it off and put the soft top up because everyone thought it was a t-top car instead of a convertible..
