So im starting to play around with photoshop a little in my spare time and most of what I am doing is pretty much about cars.

Ive been trying to change the color on cars... when I try to use the replace color option it doesnt do anything when i select the color I want.

Can anyone post the steps on how to do this?

Thanks,
Bill

First of all, if you are changing car color using replace color, you are going about it all wrong, select the portion of the car you want to paint using the polygonal lasso tool, feather it to 1px, after the selection you want to paint is ready, go to edit -> then Hue/Saturation, then click the colorize box, and select the color you want to use.

Replace color is for amatuers :D

Oh yeah, jee35dreamn, i forgot to mention, REPLACE COLOR can be used to create flip flop paintjobs, keep playing with it and you will learn how to do it:

www.digimods.co.uk <--- this guy's car's rock!

he also wrote some awesome tutorials for car stuff... here's the link to the tutorials http://www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htm some of them arent that good, but they will help you out a lot... there are a lot of different techniques to do the same thing, so these tutorials may be completely different to what someone else shows/tells you... Main thing is just play with it, you will learn a lot just messing around with it:)...
