What are some of the fastest cars in your area (1/8th or 1/4 mile)?

Do you mean street cars? I have a friend that has a mid 10 second (1/4) 98 Cobra. Another guy that frequents the local track has a high 10 sec Supra.

You can mention the race cars too. :) I was mainly curious about true street cars.

True street cars? There are MANY... although I think everyone is stuck in the 10's. I don't believe I've ever heard of a local street car going sub 10.00 (although several have "plans" to)

Never underestimate the red-necks ;)

Gary, I think you're on every forum in the South-East lol. I saw your name in the "online" list and thought "Damn, he's everywhere". :D

Time updates:

No N20:
13.41 @ 102.75 <- set a new National Record for Quickest Stock Turbo - No N20 1.8T

50 Shot:
13.26 @ 108.26 ...only got two runs in as Steele had to close early that day due to accident in pits/parking lot. :bash:

Thats great!! Post next time your going and I'll try to meet up. I think were going to Silver Dollar this weekend for that NDRA event. Titan has put in a powerglide in their Supra and if its all dialed in should go at least mid 8s. Hope the weather is ok. I dont think Im gonna run mine cause I think they are real strict about cages and all.... so I guess well just spectate. C YA

Sure thang. I want to come and try Hunstville Dragway sometime. Problem is, I'm trying to focus my passion of drag racing towards working on my other car (turbo Rabbit). Head gets machine work next week. :D

I also know of several 10 second street cars. There are some 9 second machines floating around on the weekends, but I'm not sure I would claim them as totally streetable.

Never underestimate the red-necks ;) You are absolutely correct never under estimate the power off red necks especially those from Hueytown.
