This forum has gone down the toilet with marcus' shit talking. Lets get back to what it was about, discussing cars and the racing scene. What do you guys think about the new turbo neon? As much as I hate neons I think its pretty damn quick, something to contend with. What do you guys think?

Looks like a badass car that has potential...from what i read in the sport compact car mag. it seems like a nice car. i know if i was stock i'd beat me left and right...with that weight diff.
got a decent engine (iron block with aluminum head).
its even got vented front disc brakes

I'm not a fan of the looks much, the front end is alright, but you have to give props when props are due.

Bottom line, for a few hundred bucks this car could be running some wicked times. It starts with a healthy turbo and a solid package. I believe the traction could really be a huge issue, it's light and FWD, but makes a lot of power to help on the top end.

That's a NEON SRT making making 284 wheel HP with 300 bucks in mods. Bottom line, that car would be a contender from a 40 mph roll for a lot of cars I see at the races every time I go. Hell, I'd have my hands full with one of those things with a grand in mods, no doubt. A solid package with real potential, but it's still a NEON

there ok, it's like you putting a turbo in a civic with a b16 and it would fly like a mofo..Hmm i would still choose a civic though..with a turbo i mean.."CHEESEFROG"

Not sure about the Neon's but my wife's Cruiser sure did wake up with just very minor tinkereing.....No money spent just turning up the boost and it runs fairly well for a Cruiser...

i tell you what those, freaking pt's can be fast as crap from what i have heard, with very minor tweaks
and any domestic that competes with the asian sport compact market is cool... but honestly dodge has something cool goin on here

back to the srt-4 I saw one turn a very good time at the 1/8 here in TN. but I don't care for anything else that the neon would have to offer other than it's accelleration. and how long would it be reliable for???? I have never been impressed by anything style or performance potiental wise about any neons.
