Transmission Swap Confusion.....

Alright, I have a 92gt that I am try to convert from an auto to manual. I have a T-5 from a 95gt. Now, I have been told that the bellhousing will not work from a '95 in to a '92. Is this because of clearance issued with the transmission tunnel, bolt patterns, or something else?

Some people have told me bolt patterns, some have said clearance issues--now I am confused.

the input shaft on the 94-up t5's is longer than a fox t5 and th ebellhousing is longer as well....they could work if used together but you can change th einput shaft on the 95 t5 to a fox t5 and use a fox bellhousing so it would be right

Thank you for the information. I thought it would be wierd to change bolt hole locations.

I am putting sn-95 T-5, with and sn-95 bellhousing into a fox chassis.

Now, how much longer is the input shaft? Is there enough difference to cause a problem with the driveshaft?
