I love mine, it gives me the ability to talk to riders that are close by as well as warn the others to in the pack about obstacles or wrecks.

So why with all of you guys having many bikes does no one have chatterboxes???

just curious.

I had one. I loved it to. Like you said we could warn each other about cops, stuff in the road, make sure everyone was ok. We would have one in front and one in back so if there was a break down or crash we could stop. They were awesome for that stuff..

Down fall.. Wind noise at speed was bad, even with full face helmet and the voice activation sucked due to the noise. I ended up usuaing the manual buttons. But over all if a few people have them its a good idea.. as long as you tell each other what channel your on.. lol

To be honest.. Best place is Ebay... or your looking at alot of $$

Get the X1 or X2.. they are the best... I had one.. Used it one season and sold it..

I've used one for years. They were real popular in the early 90's,now like he said, they are aggravating beside someone with loud exhaust.

I just use an mp3 player and dance while i ride.

I have a new chatter box i bought 2 years ago,i have never even used it.I took it out of the box,and i believe that was it.No one had one anymore,so no use for me.They can be very helpful as stated above.I just watch very close for the cops, and speed up accordlingly.:D

you can get a multisport from kneedraggers.com for 150,

From my experience if you get a group of riders to help you tune your box then one at a time you can make it so at speed there is no wind noise.

Me an P will always have ours cause a coiuple of the guys that we ride with have them and insist we got them so we did.

the multi-sport does not have the distance or features the X1 and X2 have.. thats like comparing a Katana to a GSX-R 1000

yes and no, a multisport will talk to someone in coolidge when your on the ridge, so its 2 miles is fairly accurate. Its enough. I have a X1 and it has a 5 mile range and more channels but thats it.

you still get the mp3 inputs and a few channels with the multisport.

Oh yeah and the x2 is the same range as the multisport, just more channels.
