BTW I am going to buy a traveling plaque. There will be a race between the fastest ford, chevy, MOPAR, Honda whatever. The plaque will be kept for one year. Each year it will have the new winners name put on it. car has to be street legal and in factory type condition. No "race cars"

Do we not have a list of sponsors yet?

FLATLINE

Thanks back at ya!

BTW You do not have to make a money donation to help. Just helping with planning and running is all you need to do. I hope we can live up to the high standard that was put up last year. Hotrod, larry, cobra and others worked very hard to give us a good race. Next time you see them tell them thanks and that you look forward to helping this year. We need all the volunteers we can get!

Ok, usually I did the local auto-x Christmas toy drive, but since that's not looking good for this year, DFT is most likely my option. For us slackers who don't have time to search, can you give a brief rundown of DFT? Thanks, and thanks also for helping organize the event. Been there, done that on other events, it can be a pain sometime, but thanks for doing it.

No but I believe Shane Downey (local dentist and HS friend ) is going to help out with the track rental. Jacky Jones Ford is going to do something. They are going to let me know something monday. SportCoupe has a donation.

We need to have a meeting and discuss the classes and sponsers.

For now just get all the sponsers heads up and we will contact them. PM me with your sponsers and a contact # for peeps wanting to help.

I need someone to get in contact with Randy Rogers (COBRA) about the Regions account.

Larry, can you contact TC Thompsons???

Lets get this thing rolling!

date for meeting suggestions????

DragginForToys is a charity Race for TC Thompsons Childrens Hosp. We raise money at the gate to give to the hospital. WE collect toys (2) at the gate and give them to a childrens charity.

The rental on the track is 3500.00 We have never had the money up front, so we split the gate with the track. This year we are trying to get the money to rent the track out right so we can make more $$$$ to give to the Childrens Hospital. We usaully have it in november.

Sorry to sidetrack, but just wanted to say glad to hear it, hope things continue to get better for her. I know you've posted about how hard it is for her to deal with this, always glad to see a ray of light.

Now back to our very worthy thread in progress.

t shirt?
fliers?

any ideas about a supplier?

HoserRacing

Chris Hyde & Outlaw both do t-shirts don't they? I would also guess that one of them might have a hook-up on fliers, IIRC one of them lists business cards or used to list them as one of their specialties.

I'd like to help. If there is a flyer made soon there is still another month of cruise in season left and the track participation is growing now that is it getting cooler. Don't know about the $100. Will have to wait and see.

Whom and where do i need to send sponsorship money and I would like to sponsor one class. I would go 50/50 on another class if possible and/or if anybody else was interested. Let me know if that is possible and can we still get in on the t-shirts and such? Another question, I have some products I could sell from my website, I would be willing to donate everything above wholesale costs that I sell to DFT, if that is possible? Thanks.
