What are some of the fastest street cars in your area (1/8 or 1/4 mile)?
My junk can't make a full pass on the street! Yesterday we got into it with a RX-7 TT (has a big turbo and a RJ tune up hehehehe)and a C5. Left them sitting at the light, pulled up through second and blew the blower tube off. Really is embarrassing when your car cuts off during a race! Seriously, the fast ones driven around here run low 6's (again, not mine :( ).

Neons?
Man, by low 6's I mean eighth mile, not 0-60.
*not bashing, but we're talking about FAST cars...

Bring any street Neon you got...let me know what it's got, maybe some pics so I can get you hooked up with something in the ballpark.
Maybe we can hook up at a local track and go for some money.
Now,if you bring Daryl's hogged out tin can with wheelie bars (that isn't a street car, buddy) expect something a little nastier. If you think you really have the baddest thing out there then heck let me know--show me some pics and stuff.
I don't do much racing anymore (job), but got some freinds that eat it up. I need to get to a track anyways.
Maybe we can all have a little fun.

What are some of the fastest street cars in your area (1/8 or 1/4 mile)?
Most of our cars are in the 400 - 600 rwhp range, so there's a few of us in the 6's - 7's 1/8th mile. This winter it seems everyone is stepping up, so hopefully we can all solidify those numbers soon. Our cars:
Mine: 89 GT - H/C/I, T70 Turbo under construction (made 428 rwhp with the old blower).
04 Mach 1 - Stock w/ catback, filter, slow for now.
My Brother's: 96 GT, HP Twin .50 Turbo Kit under construction, 91 LX droptop - Vortech waiting to go on.
Assorted Friends: 99 SS - full SLP exhaust, Procharger D1-SC
02 T/A droptop - H/C/N2O, full suspension, 12-Bolt rear w/spool
88 LX - 410 Stroker (675hp), C4, tubular everything, 2800 lbs w/ driver, N20 after we get the all-motor passes perfected, still have a bit of wiring to do before it's streetable though.
BTW, we live in a small town so there's pretty much no street scene whatsoever. We just hang out.

Sounds like you guys have some nice, fast cars! I had a turbo Mustang ('89 Conv. GT with a Cartech turbo). VERY fun car! :burnout:

Thanks, you guys have some ultra cool cars yourself. That's a beautiful RX-7 you have there Roy Johnson Jr. I've always thought those were the best looking rwd import ever shipped over, with the last-generation 300zx's falling slightly behind them. 72RatCamaro, we'll definitely have to meet up sometime. My prediction is that the early 70's Camaros are going to shoot through the roof pretty soon, I'm beginning to see alot more people fixing them up, and for good reason. Is that the Spring Rod Run you're talking about? If so, I went a few years ago, it was awesome. I'm going to try to hit Mooresville Dragway this summer, if I ever get my car done. Btw, My friend in the 99 SS just got it dyno tuned Friday after we did the Procharger install, it made 464 rwhp and 442 rwtq, so we were pretty pleased with that. Theres alot faster cars than ours out there, but we just build them to enjoy :D .

I just moved to Mooresville from Chattanooga and was wondering where all the fast cars hang out. I'm in the process of rebuilding my GN and may be looking for some action soon.

My interest is stirred. What exactly is a fast Si?
Had an Si before my Mustang, it made double digit horsepower.
