nothing worth mentioning, just 8.70's b/c it's almost dangerous to even try running on street tires (shankin tried twice). to someone that didn't understand running a really fast car w/ no traction on street tires, none of it would make sense. such as the fact that it only mph'd about 90mph. the tires spin so much that the car has literally no forward motion so it not only kills the e/t but the mph as well. this is partially due to the fact that you have to get in and out of the gas so many times while trying to make a pass. on my first try, i spun the tires at the 594ft mark (on a 660' track - 1/8 mile) so hard that it actually had smoke coming from the rear fenderwells when i stepped into it all the way. as fullyrace said, i'm going to get myself killed trying it on street tires and not lifting. so i didn't try anymore, shankin tried a couple times and once he blew the pipe off. at well prepped tracks where you could roll out a ways and step into it, it's gone 8.20's @ 100mph but they had a lot of VHT on those tracks. the car had a stick in it then, it now has a lentech automatic so if you get in the gas and shift gears, it stays in boost and amplifies the traction problems, etc. at any rate, it did what i knew it would do (nothing, b/c i knew it would kill the tires). i had just come from a car show (brought back a nice trophy too :)) and wanted to go hang out w/ everyone and took the car for the hell of it. as shankin said, it needs real tires to actually be able to get anything close to the potential mph and e/t now. i still had a blast hanging out w/ everyone though. it will be interesting to see how it runs on good tires, it should get over a 100mph through the 1/8 w/out much trouble leaving on the transbrake and using the whole track to go wot.

i went up there to dallas last night to work on the tree, so i made like 16 passes in a friend's taurus. boy is it slow, but it was making consistant 12.0 something times, so it seems good enough for running in sportsman class. as odd as it may seem, i still beat a few people due to them redlighting, and one guy that i treed by almost a full second. i ended up winning that one by only .002 seconds.
whoever was driving the neon was a good sport, and i had fun racing against him. hope to see you guys there again soon. im sure you will spot me in a taurus faster than i will notice someone in a mustang. hehehe. feel free to come say hello.
Sucks that I couldn't make it, but I was doing the fireworks thing with the family. Maybe next week though, if I can get my trans cooler problems straightened out.
