This forum is a little slow. I was out last night at Gandy driving back and forth across the bridge @ 11:30 PM and there were quite a few cars out. I noticed the cops chased you all out of the beach and it seemed as if no one knew where to go. There are quite a few good @ safe places. One of which is 28th street aka. "Frontage". This is Four lanes of no traffic and decent traction.
Or 110th street behind the certegy building.

Or 4th street near where the interstate ramp ends the "bridge"

MAybe I'm getting old @26 but there were just WAY too many of "the slow and curious" type cars out there. I did see some vettes, F-bodys, an NSX a couple mustangs. What happened to the REALLY fast cars like the built Camaros, Mustangs, Chevelles, Novas, Mopars etc.????????????????????????

Real- 9,10,11 second cars!!

I used to drive out there in my mid 12 second LX coupe and just expect to lose to about 40% of cars out there. Now I think I would lose to about 5% of cars out there.

Where are all the fast cars anymore????????????

My dad lives in Palmetto. I visit him a few times a year and I would love to catch a cruise in or something while I am down there. Any ideas? I would also like to see some racing -street or track. Where could I see some of that?

The last "Rolling Thunder" consisted of ~75 cars. The cruise around Tampa & St Pete area was so loud that a team of 5 or 6 Sheriff's cruisers decided to tag along. :D
