my gaskets and arp stuff arrived today so i can put my stuff back together. i should be able to get it almost finished tonight when i get a chance to mess w/ it, if not then tomorrow. and then, hopefully it will hold water pressure and not have a leak anywhere else (read, cracked).

yeah, i was there with jeff, mike, jeremy and the crew. i'm the tall, skinny guy, can't miss me. i worked on the car for a little bit this evening and cleaned all the surfaces, put the heads on, put the rocker arms on and adjusted them (stud mount so i had to do it for the lash), put the lower intake on, set the turbos in and hooked up the down pipes, etc. i still have a ways to go and might get a chance to work on it tomorrow, just depends. i need to get it tuned again since putting the auto in it before going racing but we'll see as the week unfolds. either way, i'll probably be there, just too early to say whether or not i'll be bringing the car.

yep, that thing kicks ass. the auto seems to be unbeatable when combined w/ a turbo setup.

dumbass lol, "unbeatable" was in reference to what kind of tranny to pair up w/ the turbo motor (as in it's an unbeatable combination as compared to it w/ a tremec). a decent converter and auto works out much much better than the stick did. :bash:

Yeah I have a lentech myself with a Vortech set up. I love mine fully mannul valve body, push button over drive, and trans brake. And the good thing it says that it holds up to 1200 hp.

Damn...sounds like maybe a Lentech is in my future. The TKO is fun to drive, but damn that Ram clutch sucks in traffic. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the Lentech setup cost ya?

about $2,800

That tranny only or tranny/convertor together? Steep, but heard good things about the Lentech AODs. <sigh> One more thing to add to the growing list of to do stuff for the car. Does it ever end? LOL.

Lentech is pretty nice for an overdrive setup. A friend of mine ran high 9s in the 1/4 with an Incon turbo car and the Lentech but had converter problems and went to a powerglide and big single setup.

Anyone remember Lidio Iacobelli from alternative in MI? Someone told me he would run basically stock AODs with just replacing the weak parts in them/shift kits/and decent converters and run low 10s with not much money in the trans itself. I know his yellow coupe may have even done some high 9s.

lidio's yellow coupe was running consistenly in the 9's. the cool thing about that car was it was using road race suspension so they would take off the slicks and put on the other tire set and competetively race through some turns...
