I know where an 01 mojave 250 is that I can get for a good price. The atv is like new, maybe 25hrs total on it.Heres the thing, it has been sitting for a while and when the owner went to start it up here about 2 weeks ago it wouldn't start. He said he rebuilt the carb, new jets, changed the gas and put in a new plug, etc. He said it will crank up easy and idle just fine. But when you get on it to ride it will bog after a minute and die.

Could it be the valves are to tight or the float is off in the carb?Any help would be appreciated.

Its either the choke cable is bad or he broke it when he removed the carb. It sounds stupid but the Mojave has a really fucked up carb on it that utilizes a vacuum slide as a throttle opening type aparatas and the choke cable not sealing where it goes into the carb doesnt allow the vacuum slide to operate. At least thats my first and final guess, the other guesses will cost ya:D

Yeah, the mojave is kind of a different breed, especially in the powertrain dept.

BTW, if you do buy it, I have a parts Mojave. The engine isnt on the frame, but its almost all there. The engine is apart but in decent shape, all chassis wheels and tire, everything minus carburetor and a couple of other small things incase you need any parts:)
