Thats a deal. I may go "WINCH-HUNTING" today just to be on the safe side. Been meaning to buy one for some time, but money has been tight and a 500$ winch is kinda hard to justify, but would sure be a great convenience.

If you find a deal let me know. Might make us a deal if they sell two of em. I could use one myself. Hate to push a 3600 pound turd if I don't have to. I'm sure we could find someone to help out just to get our buggys out of there.

This is a route I've been contemplating:
WalMart sells these two "cigarette plug-in" electric winches for like 70$. They are rated at like 2500#'s or something. My plan was to buy TWO of them and use them both, or just one(when the car can ROLL :) ).
They come with a 2 year warranty, and if they last that long at that price, I'd consider it a deal. I think it even comes with a snatch-block/pulley-block that you can double the load pulling capacity. The winch comes with a mount that you can detatch and keep it locked in the truck, or in your house when you don't need it.
Still debating....

That's backwards thinking......you'll have $140 in something "in case" it breaks.....not to mention the extra gas/trouble with bringing your car on a trailer everywhere. Just put a few more $$$ with that $140, and buy some good axles and unit for the rear. (I know, I know, then your tranny will take a dump:D )

I have a set of STRANGE 31-splines here with wheel studs, but that means I hafta change the diff. over to 31 as well. Damn domino effect kills me.
I'm thinking I'm just going to go with an FRPP 31 spline Trak-Loc and pack the clutches pretty tight. I packed the ones in the OE diff. pretty good, used an F-150 "S" spring and it helped for autox pretty good. NOt sure the effect on drag racing though.
I'd still like to have a winch on there, You never know.......I could flip the damn thing at a road event or something and hafta drag it on there with all 4 wheels off the ground. :)
