Anyone can go. Just have to pay just like any other place other than rock creek or windy gap. I need to find time to venture there myself.

it's $15 per day or a yearly is $85 but i wouldn't buy a yearly this late into the year unless you are gonna go enough to make up the difference.

Went there for the first time this weekend.
Was there for the fall poker run but did not participate.
Entered the drag races and outrun a Z400 cause he was sleeping on the line.
Also flipped my quad on the playground...my ass still hurts...lol
For info go to www.windrockatv.com

I've been riding Windrock since before it was even legal to be there. I guess it's been 20+ years now...
When they started charging money to ride, it was $40 a year or $10 a day. I gladly paid the money as a way to "pay back" for the good times I've had and continue to have. However, when they jacked the cost up to $70+, I stopped paying.
Go in from the back side and there's nothing they can do about it but ask you to leave...and that's if they even stop you or catch you.

I went up there last weekend and asked why the fee kept rising. they said they were doing it to pay for annexing the place to get city water up there, build some cabins, and improve the campground.
It would be nice if they'd let the campers pay for that expense. Personally, I think they need a discount for local people, since we're much less likely to use that stuff anyway.
I know somebody that lives on Windrock rd, and the city of OS has gone down the road taking surveys about getting city water out there for years...and still no water. The problem is that soon as you hit the sign that says it's owned by Coal Creek mining, they own all the land from there on. The people living there rent the land, but own the house. that's why nobody builds anything nice there, cause they can't take it with them and they don't own the land.
I really don't think the city is interested in the annexation.
