Kingsport Cruise-In August 9

There is a big "Broad Street Cruise-In" next Saturday, August 9 in downtown Kingsport beginning at 3 p.m. I'm not sure yet if there will be a car show, but it is being promoted to all auto enthusiasts and vintage car enthusiasts, and they are apparently planning several different types of activities. This was an event well worth attending. As an old hotrodder I remember cruising Broad very well and this event brought back some great memories. There were several serious street machines and not very many ricers (no offense to the younger set). Looking forward to the next time.

There were a lot more cars there than I expected, and a little bit of everything. I just wish they had had an actual show rather than just a display--it would have been interesting seeing how cars from so many different eras stacked up in the minds of the judges (participants or otherwise).
