Got my car tires rotated and balanced Saturday. At speeds 65-70+ I get a vibration feel thru the car. I never have had to get a car balanced that I can recall is this a normal thing. Sinse Saturday the shake has calmed down some. Should I take it back and get them to check it? Thanks for any info

Carefull though. If they have one of the good tire balancer's , they might pull the "bad tire" card and say it has excessive road force variation!;)

i love those kind of balancers, we have one, i love pulling that card, but you never realize how bad a tire is till you use one.

I have to use them for waranty claims. You would be amazed how many "new" tires are bad! I wonder what happens to those tires after i take them off:confused: :D

all the ones i take off at my dealership are stacked up in parts. but yea i replace tires under warranty and get new ones and lots of times the new ones road force is more than the ones i was replacing.

what if they say I had a bad tire what can they do??? Nothing?? I got it done at Walmart on 411 in Rome if this helps. I wasnt gonna get the balance but just get a rotate and an oil changed but I said what the hell lets get a balance just in case. Does it hurt anything leaving it like it is if they say it is a bad tire.

only thing it will hurt is your nerves having to deal with a vibrating car. Walmart is accustomed to having cheap balancing equiptment. not to mention they are probably not even calibrated correctly.

if they arent using a road force machine, take it somewhere that has one so you can have the tire indexed to the rim......

Yes sir I did. I decided to keep it but looks like I am gonna trade her in for something a little cheaper for monthly car payment " I financed this car for little over $19K. I had a brain tumor a few years back and its taking every penny to pay for that, medicine, floyd medical center doctor visits, etc. I am gonna sell it I was gonna do some normal maintence work on it to get it ready to sell. All I have to do now is clean her up and its going to the local papers and autotrader for a month or so. If it donesnt get sold im going to trade it in for whatever I can get out of it.

I like the machine in some aspects, but in others its just a pain in the ass. Any flat rate tech has got to hate that thing. By him just having hie tires balanced i would have to say it was a shitty balance job, or like Matt said the machine was not calibrated.
As, for waranty tires.:D They ride just fine!!!!!!;)

I love Walmart, they turn down a ton of oil changes for various reason(after the customer has shopped for 1&1/2 to 2hrs of course and spent a few dollars in the store) and then they recommend the customer to us.The last one we got was that the oil plug was to tight.....LOL
