I know you can anodize aluminum, but can you anodize stainless steel?

best results are achieved with 304 or 317....they vary the colr by varying the film thickness and it is limited at best with color selection. I believe this process is called Prismatic... the other is Titanium Gold Plating where they vaporize Titanium in a vaccuum and the film deposits itself on the stainless ....Very expensive stuff...they use the Ti-Gold proccess in Casinos.:)
