The boad has been a little slow lately so here goes....

This is a code: YROOOTSNUETHARPERTEREHOESAPMNLAME

Who can break it, telling me what it says, and tell me what type of code it is?

Any cryptologists out there?

Game on!

It is a letter code. It says that you suck. Send me the trophy.

You are incorrect sir.

I recently finished reading "The Da Vinci Code" so I've been reading up a lot on some of the stuff that's in the book and related to it.:D

Totally unrelated to what the code says, but I think it's funny I just noticed it says "HOES" and "LAME" at two points in the letter string.

If nobody has cracked it by Wednesday I'll post the answer.

Here's a hint. The first person to ever write codes this way is famous for having said "Etu Brute"

C'mon, a simple Google search should give you a great hint.

I read that book, what is it called caesars box? Or something.Thats pretty neat.

You are smarter than most people on here

Does that mean I am too? :D Although I couldn't work it our just right because of the number of letters, this way would be better, it's been awhile since I read that book though so I could be missing something.

Seems like a hybrid of the original? I've gone through all the basics and came up with nothing. That ooo is tricky!

Well the ooo is really the trick.. That shows you the split from one word to the next.. you just have to figure out the key..

The key is the caesars box. I thought you wrote the sentence out then divided it up into sections of four letters, like this:

YROO/OTSN/UETH/ARPE/RTER/EHOE/SAPM/NLAM/E

then wrote them like this:

YROO
OTSN
UETH
ARPE
RTER
EHOE
SAP
MNL
AME

Then read straight down the colums. I had to skew his, is why I wondering if I did something wrong. I thought it had to be a combination of letters that were divisible by 4? Here's how mine would look:

YROO
OTSN
UETH
ARPE
RTER
EHOE
SAPA
MNLR
AMEE

This type of code is known as a Caesar Box (Julius Caesar was the first to write codes this way.)
