i just watched a special on hbo called "Dealing Dogs". if you are a dog lover i warn you. a man named C.C. Baird in Arkansas ran a kennnel. he bought, sold, stole, killed and whatever else he could do to make money off of dogs. people like this should be treated the same way they treat those dogs. if i ever see anyone treat a dog like that the authourities will get envolved, and that goes for fighting dogs also.

Well, this may be news to some people but I've been in dogs for around 15 yrs now and my main breed has been American Staffordshire Terriers (can be also registered as UKC Pit Bulls) so I know about all the horrid things some people do with and to dogs as far as selling/buying/breeding/fighting. Plus, I also took part in a few puppy mill investigations quite a few years ago that involved many breeds and millers around the middle GA area. The amount of people that do this sort of thing is an astoundingly large number but the average person has NO clue. Also keep in mind, that puppies bought from pet stores ARE puppy mill puppies. Any breeder that sells to a pet store IS a puppy miller.

The worst thing I ever personally experienced with related dogs was with 2 males I placed with a man in Atlanta. The guy called me when the 1st puppy was around 2 yrs old and told me the dog had been stolen from the yard along with the other dog the man bought from me a year later. He was devastated to say the least. The dog was found a few months later during a dog fighting ring raid in the same area. The dog was near death and had been used as a bait dog because he was non-aggressive......he had to be put down. The younger dog had somehow escaped and was found wandering the streets about 2 months after they were stolen. That poor dog suffered so much trauma that he never was right again, plus the fact that for reasons unknown- both his front feet had been smashed......

Too cute! I had 2 siamese for the longest time...they used to hide and wait until the puppies ran past and then pop out long enough to wack them on the butts and make them scream then hide again LOL

I have the AmStaff, a boston terrier and a standard schnauzer. :-)
