i have a 1991 prelude 2.1 5spd. the car will not go into 2nd, 4th and reverse. this was a gradual problem, first it started to occasionally not have reverse, then it totally went out, same with 2nd, and now 4th (it still goes in 4th, but not all the time). it never grinds, it actually feels like the cables are in a bind or something. i dont believe it is an internal problem, my guess is the cables are stretched, or something is wrong with the shifter. the car has 220,xxx miles on it so anything is possible. if anybody has any ideas or knows if this is a common thing please let me know.
