i was called out with a race car vs my street car. so i offered to let them run a friend that had his race car and got no answer. and as far as not wanting to risk getting in trouble then wikdlx shouldn't have set the race up . i even told him i would run the mach at the track but he said he was coming to the street so thats his fault.

Wow you are the biggest group of winey ass grown men I have seen in a long time. We like the street cause its harder to get a car to work on the "street". Anyone with slicks is going to hook at the track. Since yall have so much money getting caught street racing shouldn't hurt you pocket book to bad, hell I've been caught 3 times, and paid a few thousand here and there and got out, never even seen a jail cell. If I, a regular "southside" guy can get out of it with a little bit of money, surely all you business owners or higher level management types, with pull i the city can get out of it. Take no offense to this Spanky but it is hard to stick down there in a "fast" car. No insults meant but if you have a ton of power and are able to hook at the track doesn't mean that a slower car won't beat you on the street simply from hooking and I am pretty sure that most of the cars run slicks on the street.

I am not trying to start any crap either way but i WILL grudge race at the track. I used to street race and i guess that i am lucky that i never got caught. I do have a good job that sustains the life style that i like to provide for my family and it requires that i have a clean driving record so that is why i dont street race not to mention all the drama and bs that goes along with it. I can appreciate the fact that you guys like the thrill and also like to win some money from time to time but for me the risk isnt worth the reward. i have a lot of money in my car and i dont want to lose it. I also dont think its a northside vs. southside deal. you guys have a pretty good street racing scene because thats what you like to do but most of the "northside" likes to race at the track. I am not a big shit talker but if you want to race i will be happy to run at the track.

I hope that you don't honestly believe that you as a bystander are much safer at the track then on the street. Granted that if you are an idiot and stand any where other than behind the cars after they leave the start, your asking to get hurt. But Shit happens at the track too. Ever seen/heard someone getting killed by a flying lugnut. It has happened at a track, Ever seen videos of cars wrecking at the track and going over the wall and into the stands. Where do those people have to go. Atleast when you are on the street your standing up and can try to run somewhere. Anyone who brings kids to the street is an idiot in my opinion. Track may be somewhat safer but not enough that it should be used as an excuse to skip out on a street race. Freaky shit happens everywhere even the track so give it up.

Ever seen videos of cars wrecking at the track and going over the wall and into the stands obviously you havent seen it if your refering to videos. the same videos over and over on every crash compilation made

Atleast when you are on the street your standing up and can try to run somewhere The stands are usually pretty close to the starting line and anyone past that is usually standing up on the fence
Track may be somewhat safer but not enough that it should be used as an excuse to skip out on a street race. Yes it is,You dont see people getting killed at the track on the news all the time or track cracking down on saftey because people are getting killed because it is much safer,not the mention no chance of losing your lisense,getting your car inpounded and paying heavy fines

I can only speak for myself, street racing cost me WAY too much in Florida. I was convicted three times for "drag racing on a public highway". Since I was convicted three times I was labeled a habitual offender and lost my license for 5 years. My employer has made it clear that if I am arrested for street racing it would probably be the end of my career with them. I was one of those assholes that conitued street racing even after a very good friend of mine lost his leg in a street racing accident. A few monthes ago I had to back to Florida to his funeral, his passing was directly related to injuries he received in the accident. Like I stated earlier I can only speak for myself, but street racing has already cost me way too much. If I were to get caught or if I were the cause of a street racing accident it would cost even more now.

I don't think you read ALL of this thread. He's not apologizing for anything that relates to a race. And even at that....HE DANG NEAR ALL BUT SAID IT AGAIN....so NO!!!!!!!!!! That apology is NOT accepted!!!

I'm Sorry let me explain myself a little better since you might not be in on the whole little thing between myself and QKjuicedpony,
first off, I never even knew he had posted a picture of his little girl till today 4-17-06 nor did I know he even had a child, when I made my remarks about him on 4-16-06. Second how do you see me basically saying that I don't think it's proper to put childrens photos on the internet as sayin it again.
As for the oh shit i'm going to get my ass beat apology, not at all, as I stated if any of you would like to attempt to kick my ass the line starts to the left, But I'm a 30 year old man and no one, I repeat, no one will EVER beat my ass, I pretty much apologized because I felt, what I said to be harsh based on what this all stems from to begin with, racing. As I said before accept my apology or not that is for you to decide.

Well then...A 30 year old man should know better. I deal with bullshitters on a day to day basis...and that again...is a full crock of it ! To deliver a sincere apology...you do it with NO self glorification. The purpose of an apology is to humble yourself before the person that you have offended. There are NO BUTS in an apology. Never had your ass beat huh? I'm surprised. Never say never ;) I don't know what you and QJP have going on...don't care. Track smack is one thing...but you jumped in the middle of a hornets nest talking about children (or the people who love them when warranted by the subject in question) in anyway but a positive manner. Don't worry about what I think...my opinion of you is forever tarnished. I would however...be worried if your apology has been accepted by QJP. The offense was directed to him. This thread should be left to die. The original subject has been rectified and dropped. The rest is nothing but trash and full of hate and should be dropped as well.
