ASKING $19,900 FIRM, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME YOUR HIGHEST OFFER OR QUESTIONS AT: Sales@SpeedForSale.com or call 865-556-7223 or 865-774-5481, or AOL instant message me at ' JeremyJBlackwell '...if the car doesn't sell by Feb.20, I will consider lower offers.
This 1994 Supra Twin Turbo (VIN# JT2JA82JXR0014354) is Renaissance Red with Tan leather interior, with a 6-Speed manual transmission. It has a perfectly clean title on CarFax.com (please email me for the a copy of the recent CarFax report.) I have MANY more detailed pictures located at http://www.SpeedForSale.com/supra8 . A cylinder compression test yielded the following results: #1 =149, #2 =155, #3 =154, #4 =159, #5 =158,#6 =156. It has 17" Racing Hart C2 3-piece wheels with Nitto TR555 tires (80% tread in front, 60% tread in rear.)
There are a good bit of receipts from a Toyota dealer where the car was worked on included with the car. It had the following replaced before i bought it and is not due for service on: air filter, timing belt, serpentine belt, front crank seal, rear main seal, starter, power steering pump, front trans seal, trans fluid, diff fluid, changed coolant, new brake pads/rotors, and also had receipts for other things like plugs, fuel filter, etc that I have changed again within the last 300 miles. It had an oil change sticker on the windshield along with some receipts, which shows it had regular oil changes. I also just changed the oil/filter. After taking delivery of this Supra, I did the following maintanence within the last 300 miles using my factory Supra repair manual's recommendations/procedures: spark plugs, fuel filter (OEM Toyota), PCV valve/hose (OEM Toyota), Castrol oil/Toyota oil filter, fuel injection system cleaned, new antenna mast (OEM Toyota), & new wiper blades, (have receipts for all.) I also inspected the following and found ABSOLUTELY NO problems: computer was scanned for any engine troble codes (none stored), transmission fluid, EGR filter, EVAP canister operation, fuel cap/gasket, coolant in good shape and full, suspension-to-frame bolt's torque.
The factory 2JZ-GTE 3.0L Twin Turbo is rated at 320 horsepower, but numerous dyno tests show that factory Supras have around 300 HP @ wheels (350 HP @ crank.) This car is BONE STOCK as far as performance modifications go. The only aftermarket items are: GReddy Turbo Timer (red, made into dash, looks factory!), Alpine CD player with Pioneer (?) door speakers (rear speakers are included with car but not installed, previous speakers were removed before sale.) I checked the hose clamps that you would have to move to install a boost controller, and they don't look like they have ever been moved (you can see the impression they leave on the hose), I checked the 14mm downpipe-to-turbo manifold bolts and they don't appear to have been turned (which means a downpipe hasn't been on it), and it doesn't have a fuel cut controller on it either. However, if you like I will purchase and install a 3" polished stainless downpipe/new gaskets, 3" polished cat back exhaust, GReddy BCC (fuel cut controller), boost gauge, and manual boost controller for $890 (this will reliably give you over 400 rear wheel horsepower, almost 500 at the crank!) The car also is wired up for PIAA foglights AND for an aftermarket stereo amplifier/speakers.
The Supra has every option (auto climate control, CD/tape/equalizer, 7 speaker sound system, traction control, etc.) It is a targa top, NO shakes/vibrations on interstate or when braking. I just got the car a month ago to resale because it was such a good deal, and have been prepping it for re-sale since I bought it. It has the factory alarm, as well as a factory installed Toyota keyless entry system. The interior is great shape! The leather seats are in great shape. To my knowledge the Supra has never seen the track, a dyno, or had the boost turned up on it. The shifter is very tight and firm. The car must have been repainted, as there is no way the original paint could be in as good of shape as the paint on this Supra. There is no rust on the car. If you are concerned with mechanical issues being a problem (although they are not), be aware that this Supra should still qualify for Toyota's Factory Extended Service Warranty. This 4 year/50000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper warranty with $0 deductible can be purchased at select Toyota dealers for about $1600 and is honored at ANY Toyota dealership nationwide (I can give you the phone number to a dealer that sells them in Chattanooga, TN near my home town.) The car has around 121k miles on it, but looks AND drives like it has half of that mileage on it. Recently buffed and detailed with expensive/top quality products, paint looks great.
I won't buy a Supra unless it meets a certain level of quality I look for. I have owned 9 Supra Twin Turbos, so I know what to look for when buying one and how to take care of them. In my opinion they are the BEST mix of luxury, daily driveability, and performance you will find! My first Supra dynoed almost 500 crank horsepower/over 500 crank torque with the $890 package I mentioned above. It could outrun Viper's on the interstate, and was still as driveable as when it was stock. It only takes a straight exhaust and a boost controller to make a Supra have over 400 HP @ wheels RELIABLY (475-500 HP @ crank.) Considering I have had 8 other Supras and 2 Vipers in the past, I have no desire to drive this car hard, as I already know what it is capable of.
As I stated earlier, the Supra has a clean title. The car is FULLY detailed inside/out/underhood, so all you have to do is add high quality wax (I use Zaino Bros) every couple months. Carpet is in near perfect condition. The CARFAX report on this car is perfectly clean, check for yourself if you like. The car has never been in an accident from what my body shop told me. The body panels all line up perfectly and all VIN stickers are still in place. There are some tiny door dings (not scratched, hard to notice...nothing over the size of a dime) that could easily be massaged out for around $250 using paintless dent repair (metal rods are used to massage the dent out from the inside WITHOUT using body filler or repainting.) I can have a local body shop verify for you that the body panels line up perfectly. If I were going to keep the car, the only minor things I would address that I haven't already are: #1) the clutch is slipping and needs replaced. It doesn't slip all the time, especially when it is very cold, however it does slip after the car is driven for a bit. I can get you a stock clutch for around $290, and a Toyota dealership will install it for around $250 and give you a one year warranty. I can also get you upgrades instead such as the RPS lightweight flywheel, RPS clutch, TRD clutch, etc,..... and #2) install the rear speakers (which are included with the car.)
A few Supra owners in the Knoxville, Tennessee area have seen the car and can confirm my statements above, like Matt Chambers (2 Supras, 300ZX, RX7), Dave Norman (Supra), Ian Arnsbach (300ZX x2), Roy Johnson (T78 RX7) and Craig Parton (black 300ZX), Howie Davidson (RX7), Pete Stabile (300ZX) from NY, etc. I own an auto shop and will sale the person who buys this car any performance parts they want at better prices than they will find ANYWHERE. I have references I can give you of people who have purchased Supras from me in the past, they can tell you they are satisfied with their Supras. I am NOT a dealer, so I cannot help with financing. You can try www.PeopleFirst.com and/or Bank One (1-800-800-LOAN), as I hear they loan large amounts on Supra Turbos. Also, try the bank you currently do business with or your local credit union.
I will ship the car anywhere in the US at your expense. Here to California is about $750 using DAS. Please feel free to email me your highest offer, but right now I am asking $19,900 to end the eBay auction, which is fair given the market value of 6 Speed Supras and the wonderful condition this car is in...feel free to email me any other questions or your highest offer at Sales@SpeedForSale.com or call 865-556-7223 or 865-774-5481. I will hold onto all offers and if the car isn't sold by Feb. 20, I will consider lower offers. Yes, I know that this price is over book value, but I also know the market value on these cars. I am in NO rush to sale the car, so please remember that I am not going to jump on a cheap offer. I will not hold the car for anyone, unless I talk to your bank and they tell me that payment is on the way. I have missed several potential sales on other Supras I have owned because people who wanted me to hold the car because they were "definitely" buying it backed out! Not trying to be mean, just fair to you AND me ;) I have another daily driver, so the Supra will be sitting in the garage waiting on you... Thanks!
