Boomer - test test test man. :) The only thing I'll be testing is 100+ octane and 2* less timing to see if I can reach the 600 HP mark...

I was talking to stooner who does some port work for kaase, and he said that they were great heads for a bad street car or something like that but as for a race car they weren't the best to go with

The kasse heads are great for a 400+ci engine. They are capable of flowing in the range of 400 cfm on the intake with a good valve job, and mild port work. Not to mention, that there is plenty of material to raise the intake runners, which I'm gonna do at the end of the season. I'm not gonna say what kind of power these heads made on my engine, but I've had them on (3) different engines, and I will never buy a different set for a race, or wild street application. These are by far the best "bolt-on" head that you can buy. Everyone has their own opinions on these heads, but I've actually used a set, and know from experience.

Also, the angle of the valve covers, make for plenty of room for a few foggers. The only thing I don't like is the ugly ass valve covers.......http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/bottlefed/kkklk003.jpg

Kaase has some sheet metal VC's now I think... I'd have to put the Jegs covers in the mill and make a few clean up passes:D

That is a good point 87316 if these heads are the greatest thing since gravey, why did kasse use the cleveland type heads in the engine Masters? That CH1 head is very good, the dyno figures I have seen on the Kasse heads were not that great,I am not saying they are not a pretty good head just questioning there greatness. Dan

JEG'S did a dyno test with the kaase,afr 185 and N351 sportman. It was on a ford motorsport 392 crate motor.They put comp 256 degree.kasse made 586/487 afr185,533hp no torque numbers @n351 524/477
these numbers are off a page i printed a week ago.So that shows their not the badest but realy not a bad head to use.
I was looking into geting a set, untill i found a complete set of victor jr's at good price and bought them.

Not that they are the best out there...just GREATNESS for the money. Last I checked ANYTHING that has Jesel wrote on it aint considered low-dolla for 5 sec. ride.-Scott

Dan These heads are technically a "cleveland-type" head. They're a canted valve design, but with windsor stuff. And the two sets of kasse heads that I have, flowed nearly identical to what they claimed. I have one set that flows close to 400cfm with mild port work, and a valve job. In my opinion, for the money, you can't buy a better platform for a head!
