I know that boost PSI is all realative, but just for conversation's sake, how much boost is everyone running in what type car??
I'm running 14+ PSI on stock turbo's in a 95 300Z
BreeZ32TT

I was running 17-18 on my car with intake, exhaust, ecu, test pipes, gutted pre-cats, and the profecB.... until my turbos had all they could take at about 122k miles. On the JWT Sport 500s, I am only currently hitting about 12psi because I don't have my 555s in yet. When I get everything in, I plan to go back to running about 17 or so.
The Talon is hitting 21.

I was running 18-19psi in my 91 300zxtt with the same mods as breez had plus stillen intercoolers and underdrive pulleys. It ran like that for 2 years on stock turbos with 161K miles on them until someone ran a red light and took the nose off the car.I now run 18-21 psi on a bpu supra sometimes hitting 25psi(oops).

My name is Manuel. I used to have a red integra but I traded the body for this white hatch and swapped my engine to it along with the Drag kit. Yeah T3/T04E, I should have put that before. I have some pics here (http://www.civichatch.com/registry/supercompact) Not much to look at though. I don't have any dyno numbers yet. I am probably going to wait until I get all of the bugs worked out (fuel tuning, oil leaks, etc).

Yep, me and 94Accord have our cars tuned the same. 0psi for the NA. I don't understand why my turbos won't spool up, it's starting to piss me off.

Several people have had them and have had problems with them doing things other than what they are supposed to be doing.I have had and know people that have the greddy profec B and highly recommend it.Its easy to install and easy to use. Also can be picked up for under 300 bucks new if you know the right people.

02-17-2003, 11:23 PM
Vincent's car has had problems for a long time now it seems, so it is not a good idea to base it on that. There is a good chance that the boost controller was not hooke dup right or even the gauge. And we will not even talk about how crappy the in dash boost gauges are, so I hope you are not reading off of that.

I had no problems with mine. Held consistant boost all the way to redline. Some people have said that over 28 psi they have had trouble but I know ALOT of people that have never had a problem with them. I personally use a manual boost controller now as the last electronic one blew up on me. They are nice to use if you are someone that would be prone to upping the boost if you were starting to lose a race, thus the reason mine is under the hood.

The only thing that i have seen about the AVC-R is that when boost comes one the peak hold feature says more that what i see in real time. I think that it may spike on the ramp up but just for an instant. I guess what i am saying is that it holds boost well but the gage is not very useful for "real" measurments due to it's very fine and quick readings. I have it set for 1.20 and if in roll into it, it hold rock solid 1.21 to red line but if i shift or load up in a higher gear on the ramp up i can't see it do it but it will read peak as high 1.30 however it will not show on the trace feature...
Just my observation. I am selling mine to Troy and going with a Hallman MBC.

Thats what I was talking about. He would set it for like 1bar and it would read something like 1.4bar after the fact. It's more of an annoyance than a problem really.

Yep, I live in Oak Ridge, actually so does montego7 and Grape8. I don't usually hang out here though. I pretty much hang in knoxville and just come here to sleep. House is for sale right now though so hopefully I'll be moving to Knox soon. As for the competition, I'll run ya.

I live in Oak Ridge but I definitely don't hang out here. Besides grabbing dinner at Ruby Tuesday or Applebee's on occasion we usually just sit at the house if we're in Oak Ridge. :)
This is a big reason that we're moving...

Those are some impressive times and speed on motor. The spray might slow you down (traction issues). What mods, if you don't mind me asking.

I have no problem losing a drag race.. I'd much rather go to some Road Course somewhere and race, because that's what i love, but straight line will have to do for now. And at the moment, poor drag racing skills and the stock clutch are probably what will get me. But, having the lack of competition here in Oak Ridge, i can say i've never lost. I've also never raced a real fast car, although i did beat an RX-7 in Solway on Saturday. When are you guys meeting on Friday, and where is this place?
CobaltZ

That RX-7 in Solway was montego7. He just bought it last week. He told me you handed his ass to him.

Here is my take on the ugly people situation that currently plagues Oak Ridge. From what I see, everyone that actually lives here goes to Knoxville to do anything and everyone from places like Oliver Springs, Coalfield, and other typical Cootervilles come to the big town of Oak Ridge to hang out and shop. Just my observation.:D

We are going to drive up friday. See you guys then. Damn, 11.30s with heads/cam/converter? What kind of 60fts are you cutting, 1.0s?!?! ;) You need to get down to NC and show the F-body boys how its done, every time Im at the Rock their shit wont fall out of a tree.
Besides, 11.30s w/o bottle should be no big deal for the almighty domestics, theres like 4 door imports that run that fast w/o the bottle on $50 195/60/15 street tires!;) You need to set the bar higher! :)
