My car is done and I am taking it to get it weighed on some four corner scales and have someone setup the initial adjustments on my rear suspension. I want to learn about how to tune/adjust the rear to make my car work on 2756015 mt dr's. Where can I go to read or who is a good person to get some help working with A and G body cars?
a little about my car -
65 chevelle, with trick springs and 90/10s up front and in back I have double adjustable heim jointed upper and lower control arms with wolfe racecraft spherical housing bushings. The drivetrain is fairly run of the mill - 355 sbc, th350 with a manual valve body(no transbrake) and red internals and a JW nitrous convertor. I have a NX two stage plate but I want to keep it fairly conservative to keep the motor alive for a while.
Any help you feel like providing is greatly appreciated and I totally understand if you don't want to help - experience is expensive...:D

Thinking about it, but I get mixed reviews about what to add, i.e., sway bar, anti roll bar, bags, dick miller stuff - its a bit confusing. I am leaning towards the air bag because its simple and cheap and I can always try others stuff later.:)

chuck samuels "fast times motorworks" had a 65 el camino, stock suspension, 3500lbs. iron headed bb, 2 plates, th400, run like 9.20's on a 9-inch slick. had the swaybar, air bag, boxed contol arms and a tailgate that weighed about 300lbs.
if you can find an article on it it might help, somewhere around 1994,1995.

advice is always and will always be free...wiether it be car shit or the stuff i get paid for now...Nothing i hate more than some fuck ass nigga that wants cash for advice...
First off you can try the airbag...kinda like useing stockings as a condom on a hooker downtown...
.its all about pinion angle...Millhouse may be correct but what rick and chuck and those guys didnt say is that they redrilled the holes on the uppere arms and welded the old holes up.
as for springs and spring rate it really matters what the corner weights are..Id start with some 140ish lbs springs...You can get the proper ones from stock car products orany roundy round supplier.work your way up 15 lbs at a time...
main thing is a anti roll bar...Not the stocker as its being mounted to the suspension arms its reactive and works through the coils and arm bushings...You need a drag race unitl...If you have some fab skills you can build one cheap and run oval track sway bars...They are nmot rated by lbs but rather diameter...Same here run the softest you can that will allow the car to leave flat and even..
lastly is shocks...50/50 drag race units are a start but they are 3 way adjustable..Your combo is very mild so this will be way more than what you need...Like i said it depends on your fab skills you have more than enough in control arms...You just need to control the suspension...Make it active and not reactive..
As for the front you dont need more than what you have but 70/30 shocks may work better..Personally i like to have double and when i say that i mean actually seperate adjustable coil overs front and rear...My last big block car has my own brand delrin bushings, ice man control arms, my brand tubeular front lower and upper control arms and billstien coil overs all around...same car cut 1.25 short times on slicks and still pulled 1.08G on a mall parking lot ghetto skidpad...Make teh suspension work for you...I could get really crazy and more in depth but i dont think you need to get confused and im kinda tired...i just got home after 17 hrs of welding and wireing..I have an email that i sent a friend about suspension control...Its a different car(twin turbo Ls1 Rx7) bt the basics are the same...Give a few hrs and ill cut and paste it for you..
BTW MILLHOUSE where fuck is your fantasy car that you can get a run with my car....

I would go with some qa1 adjustable fronts and rear, or some strange adjustable rear, mj has them on the limited street car, it had a 1.21 60ft
