Yeah, daily driver/wintercrasher.
This might help, I'm not your typical mustang owner, I NO MUSTANGS ARE SLOOWWWW! How slow the car has 2.73 gear in it and I never use 5th. The car has no mods except for the factory equiped flowmasters only because the exhaust fall off, not even a K&N filter. Must admit its a good reliable car, it has 140,000 miles on it.

Nice olds, I've always like the 70's style cutlass. Plus it was nice back then when the had the make of the engine same as the car..
My dad had a 70 rallye 350 a while back..

what's up guys? anyway I've got a project that's i'm working on now...It's a '79 Pontiac TA. Reupholstered all the interior, new carpet, headliner, etc., put a new crate 301 motor and a rebuilt thm350 in it. street/strip cam, hydraulic lifters, electric fuel pump, headers, dual exhaust header back, 650 carter racing series 4bbl, body is in great condition. Anyway, the 301 is pretty wimpy but that where "side project 'X'" comes in...bought a 455cid out of a 74 TA and plan to build all motor. Grabbed a thm400 to rebuild too. Look, i"m not tryin to bump the car, but I do wanna sell it since i'm going off to college soon. If noone wants it, then it has to sit tilll i get the time then :D ...only $2000 solid. Anyone know/have a posi rearend for sale btw. Hmmm....nice to see a part of the board that isn't full of haters like in the regional forums. oh and the 455/400tranny combo is $750. cya.

well i guess while we are on the subject of future plans....
the vette WILL weigh 2,800 Flat in the summer of 04. it now weighs 2,925lbs. i am currently gathering parts for a destroked 400sb .030 over yeilding 377cu in. It doesnt need all the torque to get it moving, i'd rather focus on higher RPM power. I already have the forged pistons, forged rods, and nodular iron crank shaft, just need a block and a few other things. I will be pulling the edelbrock heads that are on my vette to port them, then match then up w/ my intake. This motor will see a 200+ shot of nitrous.
the goal for this project is to have a very light car that will pull off some 7's on the motor, and maybe get into the 6's on the spray.

sounds like nice setup L98 .good luck with seeing low 7's with it
L98vette
11-27-2003, 07:10 PM
i already have the MPH for some high to mid 7's, w/ the 125 shot, just need tires to go w/ it.
been thinking about seeing just how much nitrous that little 350 can hold, and try to get some low 7's out of it, but then there is a bigger risk of tearing it to shit. it just depends on what i feel like doing after i get tires.;)
