i just moved from ocean isle beach to pigeon forge/gatlinburg, TN in September....i know sam.
for those of you who i don't know, how are you. i had the blue viper GTS with white stripes and a big NOS bottle in the back window, maybe some of you remember it.
i'll come back to ocean isle to visit this spring/summer, and maybe organize a meet there. have fun with this forum, and spread the word.

to start with my parents did by the xterra but i paid the difference between the two youd be surprised how well that car held its value second of all i buy my own performance parts not mommy and daddy third of all im happy for you your dad was a bmw mechanic at least he has good taste but the statement the m3 is a piece of sht is bogus the 346 m3 displaces more horsepower per litre (n/a) than any other car other than the s2000 wich has 9000 rpm red;'ine which has a significant amont to why it makes 120 per litre (hp=torque x rpm/5542) the e36 was the best handling car in america so the argment of it being a piece is very unsupported shit i know alot of mechanics that say the porsce tt is apiece but most of them have never even seen one much less driven one the point is most bmw owners are highly educated thus i dont think m3 owners would throw 60k down the drain there is no point in starting a argument over this stupid shit anyways but you should always give the person the benefit of the doubt especially when you dont even know me such as who i am or where im from

damn where was all this action when i lived there? i never found ONE car that would race one of my Vipers (other than people just messing with me and not actually thinking they had a chance...), and only raced a S2000, Porsche Boxter, and '87-'93 style white Mustang GT (all of which i embarrassed BADLY) with any of the Supra TT's i had during the 2 years i lived there. are there any cars in the area now that are decently fast (sub-13 second quarter mile) on street tires?

STR8RACIN99 - if you have a civic that runs 11's in the 1/4 mile, you are
1) probably not going to have a car that is very streetable (aka race car w/ slicks),
2) it is going to take WAYYYYYYY more than $5k-$6k to make one run 12's much less 11's...civics run 16's stock, and even if you drop a b18c or whatever the popular integra motor is in it, that is still 15's stock...a 75 shot will drop that another .5-.7 tenths. You are gonna need a fully forged bottom end, the head/intake race ported with huge cams, a large turbo, and then build the driveline and car to hold the power without breaking...
3) if you do wind up running 11's in the 1/4, you are not going to have any problems beating a stock E36 M3, which runs 14.0 flat...i don't know of any cars in Brunswick County that run 11's now (besides drag cars with slicks.) i know in wilmington there are some vipers and supras that run 11's, but just not in brunswick...

not trying to be the bearer of bad news, just saying to keep your goals realistic. good luck with it though, let us know how the build up is coming along. :) also, if you don't mind, please turn off the CAPS LOCK so you don't type in all capital letters, it's hard to read.

yea, belks isn't really the best idea, it was really the only place i could think of at the time though, a more sucluded spot would be better, but where at in shallotte is there someplace like that? it would be great if would could get promission from a local business to use they're parking lot one night a week for meets, maybe i can ask caleb's dad since the steakhouse has that big lot that wont be used at night. another thing is the shallotte police, since late at night they get bored, and we dont want to give them something to do. and from experience in wilmington, if ricer kids show up, stupid shit happens.

JEREMY BLACKWELL--the typing in caps thing is just something i always do. and all this about people talking to me about my civic and running 11's...i haven't ever said that my civic was going to do that, (not that it could...in the future). but yes i think a few of us (the guys at the site) should get together and try to get something going around shittallotte......the mp3 really shouldn't be that slow of a car, or at least i wouldn't think. there is a difference between the ricers you all refer to and the ones i refer too....mp3 you were degrading all the ricers with lights, body, kits, and mufflers...if i'm wrong i apologize. but you think that a civic or integra can't be decked out along with having the motor worked on? or are you just saying you don't like those "types" of cars that are just for show???? anyways i hope you fella's are doing all right and lets try and meet somewhere two weeks from this past weekend......oh and right now my car only has a few mods. nothing too special....

my clutch is gone due to lots of reckless driving it doesnt suprise me its been slipping since beginning of summer i dont know to tell you where it is but ask slowtegemp3 he can tell you its a nice road to run on i just watch i quit racing unless its for large sums of money wich imk currently running low on from my custom turbo were about to build the exhaust i just bought and a new clutch and flywheel so it will be awhile before i would even considering running for large sums of money so in other words i cant run but i wll be glad to orchestrate plus i dont want to give out the name of the location on the site due to this perfect spot might get whored out lets get some cars and run it one night

the mp3 isn't that slow of a car. not in turns at least, its a handling car. and what are you talking about those types of cars? i said chrome rims on a civic, i didn't say civics couldn't be fast, ask dane about that.

my cars a big ass ricer? my car was the best handling compact from the factory that SCC (sports compact car) had seen. that was until its big brother the mazdaspeed came along. who cares if it comes with exhaust, and a wing (a mazdaspeed wing, it serves a purpose, accutally creates downforce unlike some of the wings you see on some cars that look like they should be at the airport), a great suspension, and rims, thats just less money i have to spend. what of my current mods are rice, just wondering?

i personally like clean looking cars, not ones with body kits that have openings everywhere that serve no perpose what so ever. a muffler is part of performance, but the muffler does not need to have an opening more than 4" wide, and it needs to be on a larger piping, not clamped on to the stock. i personally dont like altezza lights, never have, and never will, factory will always look better when it comes to lights IMO but thats all it is, my opinion. I will always take a clean JDM looking car, over one that has say a shogun kit on it.
