WHAT CAR SHOULD I BUY?

hey guys. obviously im new, but im glad i found these forums. ANYWAY, i live in murfreesboro, and just got a new job. so i get to buy a new car. right now i have a MR2 turbo, but im giving it to my wife so i can buy mine. price limit: 45k. what should i get?

i want to get something special to the area, and being from franklin, porsches, BMW's, etc arent too special.

just give me some opinions. and no matter what, i WILL modify the car.

03 cobra for 35K$ then use that extra 10K$ in mods and a theatre system for your house and you'll havea a 600RWHP car and a nice theatre system ;)

Something rare is a Nissan Skyline R32 GTR or a R33 GT-S for that price. A R33 GT-R would be a few thousand over that a R34 is out of the question.

They are very rare and defiantly have potential.

->$45k will get you a very decent 328GTS Ferrari, a damn fine Lotus Esprit V8, or a new Lotus Elise.

Whatever you do, don't buy a car that you see 20 of every day. That was my reason for NOT buying a 350z...even though I really like them. I see at least 20 Z's every day.

If you really want a Zcar, get a Datsun 240z or a Datsun 510 or something...

Why shouldn't he buy an evo. There's only like 8-10 that I know of in the middle TN area ( or withing 100miles of there anyways.) It would be nice to see some more modded evo's around here.

If he wants an Evo that bad, he can buy mine. Im really not that enthusiastic about the Evo. It feels "cheap" when you drive it. Everything rattles, the dealer will not support it. Too many "little problems" on for 1 year old car. If this much stuff is screwed up in 1 year, hows the car supposed to hold up for 5? If I want to spend $30k for a car that's broken all the time, I'll buy a used Porsche.

something cool ive seen is a BMW e36 with either a 2jz-gte swapped into it, or the LS1 swapped into it. you can probably search for them on bimmerforums.com. i think itd be fun to pull up to an f-body and let them get confused as to why your german car sounds like a domestic... and then leave them wondering why you just waxed their ass!
